Snow birds grabbing all of your jobs?

I live and work in the land of winter snowbirds and my schedule has been packed. I was offered a bunch of bonuses at the end of November and I had schedulers contacting me by phone asking for my help.

Snowbirds don't bother me at all except for their driving skills and creating more traffic on the roads. I have to allow extra time to get anywhere these days.

Today is December 2nd and I already have 28 shops scheduled thru December 13th. I performed 5 of them this past weekend. I took it light on Saturday due to two holiday parties that night.

I don't have to worry about snow birds, but would like to comment on jobs drying up in Dec.
I am not finding that to be the case in St. Louis. I am even finding out that some companies have already increased their pay or started their pay for this month at a much higher rate. there are a lot of jobs here.

Really? You think college kids are doing shops? I live in a college town and all of a sudden the $4 shops are flying off the boards - not much make it to bonus. I would have never thought college kids would have the time to shop. Boy, and I was just thinking, "I'm glad I live where there is no fluctuation." Geez...
College kids definitely do shops. Many have posted about it on the forum. Teachers also shop. They have more time available during their holiday and summer breaks.

College kids not having time? I can't speak for anyone else but outside of the part time job I did keep, finals week or having a key project due, I generally had about 80-90% of my week completely clear.
I can imagine it is hard to get jobs in Florida because of the shape of the state. We have snowbirds where I live, too, although not as many as in other parts of the state. I haven't noticed many the last couple of years. Maybe they don't like the drought or can't find a place to park their RVs because of the recent influx of oilfield workers. Hotels and RV parks are being built right and left around here but they still are living in their pickup trucks at times.
