Shopping at Lowe's

I have done two with the new msc, and it was different than the old msc. I would presume it will be different next month. There are still a lot of Lowe's shop left in my area. I have not seen any bonus offers yet.

I did 3 Lowes a couple of weeks ago just to see if I liked them - if the time and distance was worth the price. Didn't like them.Too much time spent on the computer looking for an out of stock item and too much time in the store. I think the fee was $17. However, I did learn something about new refrigerators.

Do you think TOMMYKOCKER is related to jleetw1 or perhaps one and the same?
It took me a while to realize that this was a zombie thread, dug up from the grave of a year ago, with a lot of no-longer-useful information in it. Nothing wrong with that! Just a reminder to check the dates of posts.
Zombie thread - thanks Ishmael. I'll be sure to check the dates from now on.
Can we make a bulletin that highlights how crazy it is to waste time and money doing a shop for $4? Not only do you cheat yourself but you hurt all of the other shoppers out there that have been doing this for awhile. Lowe's is an easy shop for me and there is a strategy to it if you want to get in and get what you need and get out in a reasonable time. As someone else said, always go to the garden section to check out. It's usually a lot quicker and walk the perimeter of the store and literally "stalk" an employee down an aisle. Sounds crazy but it works!
Hmmm, I could swear that the instructions specifically said that you could not check out at the garden center.
Hmmm, from reading the instructions again it does outline that you can not go use a self checkout for that portion of the shop but does say that you need to go to the front of the store. The garden section is in the front of the store in every Lowe's store I have ever been in but I could be wrong.
I thought we *used* to be able to check out in the Garden center. I did a couple of times, back when we had to have an Observed Checkout, because the only checker inside the store was the one who I'd observed, and we were supposed to have a different one for our Personal Checkout. Back then, I thought the guidelines even *said* to do this, if that was the situation you found yourself in. And I think the report asked if you checked out at the main registers, or in Garden or Lumber.

Shop was accepted and paid, with no comment.

I haven't done one for a while now, so that has perhaps changed?

I've only done Lowe's in the last month. All of my instructions have specifically said to not check out in Garden or Lumber.
I'll have to make a note of that.

Although I just remembered they're with a new MSC... who I gave up trying to work with when I discovered they don't avail themselves of modern technology. And $12 isn't quite enough for me to do a Lowe's! smiling smiley

I've given it a good try, but I've come to the same conclusion myself. Maybe I'm being perfectionistic, though. Nothing ever goes right in the out-of-stock section, but I need to just report that, without worrying about it.
