New MSPA "member" offer

I am so glad that this topic was revived! I was going to ask what you all knew about it.
I JUST got the e-mail today! (Maybe it's my breath? Or because they just got around to my letter of the alphabet, which is in the 2nd half?) It said that I "haven't responded yet" and that they offer
expires on June 21st. I've been Gold Certified since 2003, so I may already be a member,
but I'm going to check it out because I love coupons! On the other hand, when I sought out their
help with a non-paying, lying, so-and-so msc, they did NOTHING for me!

I got it yesterday and it said the same - however I do remember getting this earlier and having trouble getting it to work. BTW I see you have been GOLD since 2003 - per chance did you get your GOLD at a Chicago Gold workshop that year? That is when I did it.

Well, in Oak Brook. You know, Chicagoans are very particular about the difference between the City and the suburbs!

So, I was already registered on the MSPA website, but I signed up for the free "membership" anyway! I love using coupons!

Yes yes yes I was there too! I couldn't remember which suburb it was in but that was it! Wonder if we talked? Lol

Liz
I had to join YouTube just to access the information. Why couldn't it be in text? I found the video not helpful. I never did find the place to enter the promo code.
If you are already certified the cost is free until June 21st. After June 21st the cost is $20 which includes Silver Certification.

Maybe! If you remember, when the facilitator (was that Cathy Stucker?) asked what kind of shops we had already done, I got a big laugh with "Adult book store"! LOL! It was the truth!

OH FUNNY!

All I remember is sitting about half way back and meeting a few people I had known from the AOL secret shopper boards.

Liz--I was ALL the way in the back. I should have gotten more addresses and contacts, but it was my birthday and I didn't feel like it! LOL! Anyway, that was the beginning of the really tough competition for me... sad smiley Do you still have your book? I should find mine and see if you're in mine.

Oh gosh I forgot about the book - it's probably here somewhere...

I didn't realize that this thread was started just over a year ago in 2013. I was thinking the the MSPA was offering the "free" membership because they want to promote their "not free" ShopperFest in Orlando, FL in October 2014.

How much are they charging for the ShopperFeast?

This is what they have posted on their web site...

"Announcing MSPA-NA’s ShopperFest 2014
October 17-19 at the Hilton Garden Suites Hotel in Orlando, FL. Stay tuned for more information!"

No prices have been posted yet from what I can see.

A "ShopperFest" is *WAY* different than a "ShopperFeast".

So which is it, and is there food involved? Or are the MSCs feasting on shoppers? smiling smiley

Practitioner of the Nerdly Arts.
If the MSPA is charging money for it they are feasting on the shopper's wallets. In other words, it was not a typowinking smiley

The MSCs always feast on shoppers so that is nothing new. I believe the IMSC conference in NOLA will be a big time ShopperFeast. Crawfish, beignets and Hurricanes...yummy.

I just got an image in my head of the 6'4" shaved head guy on his knees begging for beignets as LisaSTL sips on a cafe au lait from a balcony high above. But will he show his boobies for beignets?

Why would Dante be begging Lisa for beignets?

Nice try on the fake-out, bgriffin. But no cigar.

Whatever, Dante is the one that said he was 6'4" with a shaved head. I just said I was over 6' with a shaved head. smiling smiley

Ummmmm. Yeah no not really. :/

awww sad smiley

(but you could have said that you would and nobody would have known it was you at the conference)
I would have known.

I thought bgriffin was donning a blond wig for NOLA. Or maybe he will be a fiery redhead.

I was a redhead once, many years ago, when I actually had hair to be red. The result of peer pressure from a girl who dyed her hair so often and for so long even she wasn't sure what it's natural color was.

Red is soooo normal. I had blue hair which looked really cool. The purple was more of a lavender so it was quite faint on my naturally blonde hair. But the blue popped. Awwww, memories. :-D
