Indepent Contractor Agreements

I am now wondering if these agreements, i.e. not being able to share information about MSCs and their clients are really helping the industry. I always stick to this. But things change and I am thinking that some discussion might be beneficial.

I hate that we can't share which company does which shops. I found a company that did multiple fast food shops near me including Wendy's and (i think) burger king. I lost the link and would love to do these shops but can't remember the company.

Cyn, it certainly doesn't help shoppers that we can't share company/client information. I can see where it would help the company not to reveal their clients, because they may have clients they shop that have never previously been shopped. After they "create" a new shopping client, they are not going to want to share that fact with other MSCs. I believe this is what drives that item in the ICA.

The information is widely available from every msc on twitter. they all "follow" each other there, and they all post about shops and clients they have everyday...

I assure you all the msc's know who each other has...

The shoppers that are tech savvy and knows how to navigate social media can figure out who has who with relative ease.

Techman, I haven't been on Twitter and I'll check it out, but if they're all posting their clients I wonder why they don't take that item out of the ICAs. I guess that's part of the "mystery".

Perhaps it's because as IC's and shoppers we have privy to the actual contents of the shop, ie payment, reimbursement, shop specifics, and they probably don't want that info going out to their competitors.
Yes, their competitors can gather the info if they so desire but this way there's at least hole plugged up and the competitor has to work at it a little harder.
