Have read all 3 issues and want to give Jacob and the contributors a big thank-you for all the useful information. I learned so much reading those issues and feel that I am getting a really good foundation in mystery shopping through this forum and now the magazine. Keep up the great work.

What is going on with all the people who quote a post, but say nothing about it? Do they think the "Quote" button is similar to Facebook's "Like" button and they're trying to "like" it?

I keep wondering that, too. It happens quite a bit & is really, really weird. I mean, why would someone purposely click on 'quote'... and then just hit 'reply' without adding something?

I mean, when you click 'quote', it shows up in the box where you're supposed to put your response first ~ it's not like it just gets posted to the list until you also click 'reply'.

And I don't see how anyone could think it's the equivalent of Facebook's 'like' button... when we have our own big huge honking 'like this post' button ~ and the 'quote' thing is just a teeny-tiny text-only link on the opposite side of the page.

Thinking about it too much makes my brain want to short-circuit. smiling smiley

LOL. I was trying to be charitable. I have my own suspicion why they do this -- it increases their post count which gives the impression of experience later on when they decide to get controversial about something. But I was wondering if there was any other explanation. I don't like to accuse someone of nefarious intent if they just made an honest mistake. But I've only ever seen new posters doing this, and a few were people who later became notorious trolls.

Eyespy - Can you tell us what happened here that you posted a quote with no message of your own?

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
Well EYESPY has only been a member since August 2012 and had only posted 7 times. Now that is not a problem. It seems like he is trying to get used to the board or post one post a month. Maybe ES is scared that he will lose his membership if he does not use the site monthly. He just run out of words or is controversial (sp).

As for the magazine, I subscribed.smiling smileysmiling smiley

It is the new Trolls-In-Training Program. ;-)

As far as trying to raise one's posting numbers, I view it like one's age...it is only a number. At least that is what I tell myself every time my birthday rolls around.

Thank you Jacob, and kudos to your writing team.

I've enjoyed every issue and am eager to keep reading more. Lots to learn and like!
