marketforce grocery shops?

Haven't seen them on the board this month...has anyone else? I hate their job search function, so I'm wondering if they're listed but i just can't find them.

Based on the "new" May 2013 survey, they are making it harder to make that $9. We have to be in the store for an hour. and more departments to search out.
I haven't seen a grocery shop on Market Force in ages ~ well over a year!

Being in the store for one hour equates to $4 bucks an hour and those are 1970's wagessmiling smiley
Agreed.

If you are looking for the Mid-Atlantic regional very large grocery shops, they have moved to a new MSC. Lower fee, more restrictive shop times, more observations.

Well, there is a mid-atlantic/new england grocery store chain that is still on MarketForce. And plenty of them here including the audits.

If you have to be in the store for at least an hour, then fill out the report, you're not even getting that.
Nor in the Inland Pacific Northwest.

I did a couple of the $4+$5 small grocery shops for MF this month, but hadn't seen them for a while before that. I like the store, so I don't mind the fee. I'm in Indiana.

No fee, no shop.
All the grocery stores I did last month (not MF) paid 12.00 plus 5.00 plus 5.00 gas plus 8.00 and I had to stay 20 minutes.

I did a bunch of them in a week and it went well.

I myself have not seen any at MF though.
Thanks guys (and gals)! I didn't even know that MF did grocery shops. I just searched a larger area on their site and found the discount chain ones. We just got one of those stores near me. I'll have to keep an eye out to see if they have shops for it.

MF does a couple of chains that are based in the NY-NJ-PA and maybe Conn. The "brain" that thought up the "new" board should be a mystery shopper for a month. In fact the whole staff should try it for a month.

It is like training a new volunteer First Aid Squad member to drive an ambulance. If you lay them down on the Gurney in the back and have another new member drive, then switch places you get some real good drivers.

When I first started MS'ing, back in late 2010 and early 2011, they had one here (Inland PNW). Only saw it once a month, and only for a few months. Never knew if I stopped seeing it because it went away, or because I was spotted & not allowed to see it anymore, or what. (Although no one ever *told* me I'd been spotted.)

It was for a discount place that used to run TV ads with muppet-like characters. Didn't pay anything except grocery reimbursement, but it was enough groceries ($15 or so, I think?) for a quick & easy report that I would always take them, especially since the store was only about 5 or 6 minutes away!

They dropped the "big predatory bird" stores it seems .... sad their gas shops were $5 and $5 in gas for 10 min....and their pharmacy shops were $12 reI'mbursement for 20 min in store...both forms were 3 min flat... and that's no exaggeration

shopping north west PA and south west ny

I did one for them once for a discount grocery store in Oregon. It's been ages since I did it and I've never seen them since.
Not sure if they still do the one in Canada. That was the store with the green logo. $10.00 for the shop plus buy minimum of $9.00 in groceries for $19.00 reimbursement. Sometime more with the bonus. And there were 2 types of shop. Hole count which took maybe 30 minutes and the other ones which took longer with all the interaction in some department.

expect the unexpected
From at least Va up to NY, they did two nice chains, not discount, that shared a tricolor logo. Those have gone to a different MSC for about 3 months. I think that they still have the discount chain that has oonly a few stores here and has very low pay. The ones they lost were $13-$16 and the reports wer a snap.

They have a large chain here in NJ that is my regular grocery store. I do a lot of them each month. They are still posted and it's not the cheap one. They have that one here too.

I still see two grocery chains in MA. My preferred just changed the survey and it's more involved now. You are to ask a question in all departments, courtesy booth, floor staff and casher and also get an escort item for all counter staffed departments and at least three floor staff. Not worth the trouble IMHO.
STINKYPETE------>like I said they are now making us, work for that $9. They are not getting bonused as frequent. Select ones, once a week. Not worth the trouble is right. And yet the price of groceries goes up and the size goes down.
