I love living in a small town!

For close to a year, I was on auto assign for Blue Bank shops. I finally decided that they weren't worth my time. They started bonusing the ODP to $15.00. I started doing them again, but not auto assign. I would just wait for the $15.00 email. There are five branches that I can go to. I did them for $15.00 on my last assignment. I got an email yesterday with the name your bonus for this round. I said $20.00 and they took it! It was only for two of the locations, but they are about 5 blocks from each other. $29.50 x 2 for about 30 minutes total work between doing the shops, the pics and the reports. BTW whoever told me about Microsoft Picture Manager is the bombdiggity. The only sucky part is that since we made the 30 minute drive to do the shops, we ended up going to Wal-mart too. we spent way more money than we should have! Oh well.

I live in a small town of 2000 and there's no one around but me. The only drawback is the distance to travel to these shops. The 'largest' city is 40 miles away, so that's 80 return and with the price of gas? = I have to make sure I get a few on the same route. smiling smiley
I made a lot of my money by driving to the small towns within a few hours of the big city. I got bonuses, scheduled everything I could, and found it to be profitable.

I've only done one "day trip." I hit a town about an hour from me. It's a bigger town than I live in, but it apparently doesn't have many shoppers. I did a blue bank for $59.50, a grocery store for $45 & $14 in groceries, then I went to a town 30 minutes from there for an ice cream shop at $38.00 plus reimbursement for my lunch, another grocery store for $45.00 & $14 in groceries, and a discount wareouse place for $25.00 & $5.00 in stuff. I think I made decent money, but I wasn't a fan of all that driving. When I got home, I wasn't really in the mood to fill out reports. I often think about leaving my day job and become a full time editor/shopper. I just don't know that I can deal with the driving to get all of those out of the way big bonuses.
Oh no. Please don't come here. Please! winking smiley

I live in a relative small bedroom community and love working up here, we now have many more shoppers. When going on the freeway, I need four shops to be profitable with the gas at 4.03 and wear and tear on my car it isn't worth the 40.00 or so, hence, my work is cut way down. Working in my town is 85% of my work these days...prices need to raise, not continue
to lower.

Live consciously....
I am heading to Austin this next week to go to a concert and pick up a few shops while there. Will see how it works out!
Cherly. The Welcoming Comittee has been alerted...grinning smiley

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I live in a somewhat rural area. I used to do whole routes of blue banks and green gas stations. Are they still done by the same MS company as a couple years ago? I'd really like to get back into shopping those. I remember the green gas stations were audits.
I haven't seen the MSC anywhere in this thread - could someone please tell me who the "blue banks" are?
If you don't have banks with a blue logo in your area, then they may not be in your state at all. They're not everywhere.

I pray it does not occur that the last thing I did before I died was vacuum the house or eat broccoli.

We don't have the green gas stations in my area. The same company who runs green gas stations under their main name has blue gas stations with a different name out in my neck of the woods. I haven't ever seen this particular blue gas station shopped. I also wasn't shopping "a couple years ago," so I can't tell you who shops them now.
