McDonald new questions

There are 3 new questions in the McDonald report. 2 of them are ok, they want to know the register number, but the third one kinda puzzled me. Do you own a smartphone?

Two possibilities that I see. One is to check the video and see if you might be doing something to give yourself away. The other is to try and get a sense of how many shoppers have smartphones and they might start geoverifying these shops.

That or they may be looking to insist on the timing app that they used when they ran the BK trial.

I was thinking that possibly they are gauging interest in development of a mobile app to do this shop.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.

I actually use my smartphone to do the reports. I cannot use it for the audits since their site uses flash I mean I do the reports, but I cannot send pictures), but I do Mcdonald at the location. I sit down doing the report and watching around what is going on. I do the DT, park away and I finish the report, take a picture of the receipts and send them. They basically have the report withing 30 minutes I leave the location.
As per getting timing, I love my watch and I learned so well to do it that no one can tell I actually take times.

Why do they need to know the register number when they have the receipt? Is this to make it easier to identify the shopper? Additional questions without additional pay.

With the pay by phone apps becoming more popular, they may be seeing if this is a viable option at this time. Just guessing...

None of mine have asked for the register number, but they have asked about having a smartphone. I do have one but don't always take it with me when doing shops.
