Grocery shop snafu

I did a Sunday grocery shop around 12:30 PM and entered the report immediately upon returning from doing it. Since I didn't have another shop to do until yet another grocery shop for the same company until 3 PM the following afternoon, I didn't go online in the morning at all. That is very unusual for me; I check my email ad nauseum, so often my husband badgers me for being too dedicated to mystery shopping. He took me out for breakfast, then shopping, so I was out and didn't have a chance to check my email at all.

When I went to enter my grocery shop that afternoon, I realized my Sunday shop had apparently never reached the MSC, and because I didn't respond to their email, they had given it to another shopper! Now I did everything right in submitting the shop and tried to re-submit it again at that time, but kept getting a message that I was not allowed to view the entry. I sure wish this MSC provided confirmation numbers, but they don't.

It looks like I'm not going to get paid for the shop, but I should be. I submitted it, with a dated receipt, on time. What should I do? I emailed the scheduler, twice, but have heard nothing back.

Since you didn't mention the client can you tell us what MSC? Also, did you save a copy of the report to your PC in PDF format before you submitted it?
If it is the MSC that I am thinking of, I doubt you will be paid for this shop. If you read other threads, this particular MSC seems a bit unforgiving. Hopefully you bought groceries that you needed anyway so it won't be a total waste of time and money.

Robin: They don't send a generic email that it was late? Or not submitted? Or, do you actually have to sign in to your job site and read their notifications?

Because if so, that sux.

All of my companies will email you for verifying information or alerting you to changes. You don't have to login to their site to find letters that they are trying to reach you. tongue sticking out smiley
Most of the companies I shop for will change the status online once you submit. All the Sassie based companies update the shop log to submitted once they have properly received it.. CoRI and MF will drop it off of your current shops list. I don't know about Prophet companies. None of them seem to have shops in my area.

The problem was that she did not log in and check her e-mail. Robin, did you double-check the site after entering and submitting the report to be sure the status changed? I always log back in to be sure that the status has change to completed or submitted, depending on which company it is, because I always worry about a shop not getting submitted.

Robin, is this one of the MSCs that tell you that you must be available by e-mail for a certain amount of time after submitting the report? If they did assign the shop to another shopper who did it, you may be out of luck.
I picked up a few of these. They never were here in my area either. I have a few other shops in those areas and I can always use groceries! I have never had trouble with this company. As soon as I get it I get the paperwork immediately copied. I even fill in all the blanks I can right then.

I can't figure out which msc does not provide a confirmation number. CORI, MF, Sinclair, Prophet and Shopmetric provide confirmation numbers. Sassie shops will show "complete." It must be a msc with their own software.
