Shopping Experience

I have been doing Mystery Shopping, Auditing and more for the past two years. I usually do about 150 top 200 shops a month. This month has been slow and I have only done about 100. Just do not seem to be as many available this month or else I am getting more picky what I choose. I know with the price of gas I am starting to make sure I have a lot of shops to do before I venture out for the day.

I myself am getting pickier. It just isn't worth it anymore. I have a few companies and jobs I will still do but I am not willing to fill my calendar with crap jobs. Let's face it, for $7.00, it is not worth the drive, the ink, and the time for a well written report. I have thought about giving companies what they pay for but I think it would do me more harm than them. I used to be able to do less than a 100 jobs for more than $800 a month. It seems anymore I have to do more jobs for less money. Thanks for letting me rant.

Making the world a better place to shop, one assignment at a time!
I have been mystery shopping for a year and a half. I started due to becoming disabled and unable to go to a full time sit down job due to a number of doctor appointments. I saw what I thought was a great opportuinty to earn a descent income mystery shoppping, It just hasn't panned out. Having to make purchases and pay for gas and take pictures and pay for the necessary picture taking supplies, it was not making any money. I went back to work full time for $10.00 per hour but fantastic benefits. Now the benefits are hard to get because they try to fight on everything. I'm using all the money I make to drive to and from work. My disabilities have gotten worse, and I am ready to quit this job. Are there any real companies out there that don't make it so difficult to do the shops and pay so little that with the price of gas and time filing the reports that it isn't woth your time? I need to make a minimum of $800 per month and cover the cost of gas to survive. Is there anyone out there that has any real opportunities to make enough money to survive? I appreciate your letting me rant and ask these questions. I would apprecaite any answers or suggestions that anyone can give me. By the way I am registered with around 100 mystery shopping companies and have 300 to 400 more to sign up with, but that takes a lot of time and so far none of them are offering enough shops for a workable fee to make it worth my time.
