I understand my account may be deactivated

I've seen this in the screening before and always stopped, not accepting the shop.

"I understand that *******blah, blah, blah****** my account may be deactivated"

It always scared me from accepting the shop.

Should I be? I don't want a mistake ruining a good thing.

I see a shop where it says that 'if the shop is completed and canceled, I may be removed as a shopper'

I'd like to do it because it pays well, but am a bit apprehensive.

I emailed them once about it and was told that it meant if they found out you were not honest in your reporting, pics, etc, you would be removed.

To me, that doesn't make sense. "if the shop is completed and canceled.....etc"

I don't know.. sad smiley

I see that on a lot of shops/ICAs. I thought it was just a warning that if you flake or don't read the instructions or fabricate your observations, your account may be deactivated. i also see messages about how the report may be compared to internal video footage. I'm not sure why that would scare you from completing a shop.
I have done shops that have many bullet points regarding reasons that the shop may not be accepted and you may be deactivated. Whenever I read them (I typically ignore them now) they talk about fraud (using the same picture or business card for more than 1 shop) or if the name of the associate you put on the report was found to not be working at that time, or the video footage shows you were not in the establishment when you said you were, etc. As far as I am concerned if the shopper follows the guidelines and does the proper job and doesn't try to cut corners he/she has nothing to worry about. Evidently many MSC's have been burned so often that they have to put all of those warnings in there.
I do not pay attention to those scare tactics. If something tragic happens and I cannot complete the job then deactivate me. Has not happened yet but who knows?
I sjtu accept it as part of the terms and conditions of joining companies i have messed up one shop big time but was also part the fault of the company and the shop but mainly me. so far they ahve still let me select work but i think i was lucky

They care a lot more about keeping advised of the shop status than any of all the other stuff. If your frauding they wont like it but the truth is very few companies are going to go back and pull videos on a $12 shop - costs em too much money!
