Domino's Pizza

Ever since Papa John's got away from the MSC that sometimes paid me $30 to buy the pizza, I have avoided the PJ shops. They're too much trouble for $5.

Instead, I've been buying Domino's gift cards at Kroger and getting fuel points. The pizza is okay (usually) and it's between my kids' after school activity and home. So, it's easy for me to order a pizza on my phone and pick it up on the way home.

However, the consistency of the pizza is out of control. The service in the store is also unacceptable most nights. That said, I worked in a restaurant to several years and I know I'm one of their favorite customers, so I let certain things slide more than I should. When I'm out of gift cards, I'll start going elsewhere.

Does anyone know if Domino's is shopped? I'm not asking who does it, but I'd like to make sure that my town's store gets shopped a little more! I can't imagine that the consistency would be so horrible if they were shopped.

I saw several stores near me shopped all in the same month a few months ago. I had not seen it before or since. It was a big company though, so you are probably already registered with them.
They are shopped and I know half the staff working there in my town. I am disqualified from that shop.

I heard someone say that Domino's Pizza doesn't taste like cardboard anymore. Does anyone know if that's true?
In my town, in Alberta, they have the best pizza. Much better than Pizza Hut.

We prefer the Brooklyn crust in my house. But, as I said the consistency is off. The Brooklyn pizzas are not supposed to have the garlic sauce on the crust. One time they messed up & put it on and I now ask for it. It's yummy!

Also, a large Brooklyn pizza is only supposed to be cut into 6 pieces, as opposed to 8 in a traditional pie. This is because you're supposed to "fold" the Brooklyn pizza. But they sometimes forget and cut it into 8. Other times, they remember only after making the first two cuts. So you have two HUGE pieces and 4 smaller pizzas.

The other night, we ordered 4 pizzas and they were ALL undercooked. The crust was WET. We had to bake them again when we got home.
I've only seen these shopped by a competitor, as noted by others. No loss though. Don't care much for chain pizza, no matter how fast or cheap. The traditional mom and pop Italian joints can't be beat for REAL pizza.
The recent Domino's pizza we got was really good--way better than it used to be. DH & I ordered our pie with the marinara sauce, the kids ordered theirs with the standard "robust" sauce--all were happy at our house! Next time I want to try their sub sandwiches and/or the wings. They've never had wings in our area before, at least not the last time we got pizza from them, which was several months ago.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
