What do you have for August?

I know who that was for. :-)

Well, so far I have 30 Wawa's scheduled, and 40 Shell gas stations. I usually do Sunoco, but with the customer intercepts, I have decided to let someone else handle them for now. Oh, and Barclays at the Airport. It is hanging somewhere around $900, but I will do some fillins to get to my normal month. Hopefully September will be better.
Hey.. I have ONE shop for August. Managed to snag a Five Guys Burgers & Fries that I can take the kiddos to. They like the food so much, they don't even complain that there isn't a toy! (Five Guys should use THAT as a tag line!)
We have had well over 30 days of over 100 degrees this summer. We usually have some but not that many. August is our hottest month. Even native plants are dying from the drought. At least when the grass dies, it will be easy to identify the weeds and kill them. Unfortunately, some of our weeds are Johnson grass, and it has to be mowed. Right now, its tallest stalks, though we don't have many of the plants yet, are about waist high but most things are barely ankle high. It's time to call the yard crew. They could get done faster just by weedeating. I ran out of weed killer.

Anyway, about mystery shopping: In the past year, several of my companies lost clients that I was shopping. One or two rotated me off long-term assignments for the near future. I need about $500 more a month. Other than Market Force, which I'm already signed up with, are there any companies you know about that both have a lot of clients and operate in many geographic areas? I don't have time to search dozens of companies' websites every week. I try to vary where I look, but I'm not searching in the right places at the right times, so I need to narrow it to a company that has lots of assignments. Right now, I don't have time to do theaters and am not in the right market for banking, many apartments, or big city type assignments. I don't want to have to drive that far right now. I guess I'm narrowing it too much, but maybe some of you have ideas. I'd appreciate it.
I currently have 91 shops scheduled for August with more on the way which haven't been posted yet. I have a total of 71 merchandising shops so far. I keep busy with permanent merchandising assignments. They are a great way to build your itinerary every month.
Jim, most of my work now is regular merchandising. Every once in awhile, an assignment will take much longer or be much shorter than anticipated. Most pay by the hour. I have room for other work, and I like to stay in MSing. I have found that I enjoy merchandising very much, and I'm sure you do, too.
I have yet to set some up for this month being I have been out of state. I was trying to get some in the state I was visiting, but it seemed a lot of trouble getting them to set up for an out of state shop, so I nixed that idea as bad as I hated to since there are more shops in other states than here. I try to grab as many as I can here, but they go FAST. I remember a time when not many knew, or trusted mystery shopping, and boy you had many more shops to choose from. I am going to see if a supermarket shop is still open even though it will take 6 hours to complete the pay is GREAT for it. Theater shops are HARD to come by here, and I try to get them that way if my children want to see it I can bring them. For me a mom this job makes it easy to make some extra money for things they would like to do.

lostgirl, what kind of supermarket shop takes 6 hours? Is it mystery shopping or a merchandising job?
It's Price checking on several products. You have to price two of the same thing just different brands, and mark it down. They said at the least 6 hours. You can do I think a different one which is more electronics/merchandise pricing, but I am just checking the grocer.
Is that the International Cost of Living survey-if so, you need to go to two stores and price 125 items, 2 brands at each store.

Is it an Excel spreadsheet? The one I referenced is done for a shopping company, they do it once a year for a client.

Yes it is an excell sheet one. Being not on the Mainland shops here come in maybe 5 a month. That's with hundreds of others here doing the same thing, so you have to be major on top of them. I have called some of the ones I have worked for on a few shops, and asked to be put on the list for first calls out for it. Some are good about it, and call me to let me know. Sometimes I am unable to do it if it's something that conflicts with me doing my have to do things during that time of day. I have many comming in from a company I worked for, and had to fight them for months to finally get paid, and reimburssed for my shop, so I no longer will work for them just based on how I was given the run around, and had to send 2 not nice e-mails to the point where I said I will no longer work nor reffer you folks to others. It should not take till March to get a payment from start of Sept.
What state are you in, exactly?

Well, so am I. I do not find it that barren for jobs.
