Urgent help on Dairy Queen shop needed!!!

I'm here at the mall and I'm supposed to order a mini blizzard and small Julius, but their Julius machine is broken. I tried calling the msc but got their voicemail. I've read instructions but can't find anything.

What should I do?

I haven't seen the instructions but couldn't you order the mini Blizzard and explain in your report that the Julius machine was broken?
Wow. Don't they have more than one blender???????

My best guess would be to order the mini blizzard alone. Finish your shop and email the scheduler/editing department to advise of the machinery breakdown. Make sure you get the employee's name and full description. Take a photo of the DQ if you can and don't forget your blizzard photo and receipt. That is what I would do. Good luck.
I think I might do that, and discreetly take a photo of the sign which states no Julius.
Here's my philosophy every time something like this happens:
If there are no provisions for it in the guidelines and there's no one available at the MSC to help, then I'd say you're totally within your rights to do what you feel is best to complete as much of the shop as possible. It's not your fault the thing is broken.

Seriously, nobody cares that you're offended.
That happened to me and I reported it as being broken. Take a picture or something to back it all up.

I was paid for it btw. and the Julius machine was broken for over 8 months!!!! Imagine that, huh? Good luck.
Not all stores even carry Orange Julius. I think there is a provision for bypassing the Julius questions if there is no OJ available.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
When in doubt: Only order the items allowed.

If one is not available, then order the other one.

Then pray they pay you smiling smiley
But you're *supposed* to order both...

I've never had where I couldn't get one or the other. A couple times where they said their receipt machine wasn't working, though. I did get paid for those.

There is a DQ location near me that does not serve OJ, so I just ordered the one item and said that they don't carry it. In this case, if you take the photo like you mentioned and include that, I don't think they will penalize you.
Just order the julius without receiving any. Ask for the receipt and state in the report that the machine is faulty. Most importantly the receipt with the stated purchase is needed.
Instructions DO tell you what to do in this problem. Skip that part but not in the instructions TAKE A PIC!
Remember to note down if they sell Pepsi, Coke, and/or Dr Pepper. Also note if they have credit card logos somewhere. Those are "tests" to prove that you were actually at the location.

I took a photo of the sign. Apparently, their CO2 machine malfunctioned, so they were not able to serve Julius, pop, Moolattes or Arctic Rushes!

This particular location served Coke, but I've done other DQ that served Pepsi products. Odd....
Franchises can contract their own soda supplier I believe.

crazylights, if you order a Julius, and they can't give you one, why would they ring it up so it shows on the receipt? Or did I not understand what you were trying to suggest? They're not going to let you pay for something they're not serving you.

The purpose of these shops is to determine if quality standards are met. If they can't serve up a Julius, just tell them they weren't available. Take a pic of the blizzard and call it good. You can't evaluate what they can't provide, so just do the evaluation on the part they could sell you.

They will accept handwritten receipts. Some really old DQ's don't use cash registers. The one I grew up with didn't have one. Just tell them you need it to turn in with your expense report.
