Wings-can you keep it under $20?

I just did the wings shop for the first time. Since you have to order from the 4 categories, and have a beer, I can't see any way I can keep this at the reimbursement rate of $20 for lunch.

All you pros out there, let me know how it's done! Or if it can't be done (and that's why these shops are always on the board.)

Thanks!

You don't have to purchase 4 items, 1 from each category, you have to purchase 1 item and it has to be from 1 of those 4 categories.

I did one today for $13 including tip. I agree the instructions are confusing at first. I had to read it several times to get I only had to order one item.
If it's the one that I usually do, the reimbursement is $16 and you do not have to order a roll. You do have to order a single item and allow them to upsell it to a combo. If they don't, you have to order the combo anyway. Here's what we did:

10 reg. wings, 1 drink, 1 reg. fries, 1 ranch dressing, 1 lb. potato salad, 2 rolls.............total $16.20 including tax.
Thanks. No "roll" requirement, that made me laugh. Maybe that's another place, this one has the flying buffalo logo. smiling smiley

They really need to clarify those instructions. I did one of those shops and I read it I don't know how many times and I still was not sure. There were 3 of us so just to be safe, we ordered one item from each category. Now that I know you only have to order from one, I might be more willing to do these grinning smiley.
For Wingstop you have to order a roll.

For BWW you just have to order from ONE category. If you go on Tuesdays it's .60 a wing. I usually order a grilled chicken sandwich, wings for my guest and drinks and I stay within the reimbursement amount.
They have a combo meal where you get boneless wings and regular wings. My DH and I split that and it is $14.99, plus a beer or soda (whatever is in the requirements) and tip. That puts us right around the reimbursement.
I have done this shop several times and it wasn't until the last time that I was told that I don't have to order from all those categories! I thought it was just me that read it wrong. LOL.
OMG. I took one of those shops recently thinking it was the same as before, and I made the mistake of ordering one thing from each category. It was a tough hour getting all of that food down!
It is confusing at first. LOL, I can just imagine walking in and ordering 4 items for myself. They would def know I was a shopper.
Tues & Thurs are the best days to visit for specials. Also, go during happy hour for discounted beer.
Love the wingstop shop, even though pay is only $4. I did one in May and am hoping the rotation isn't long so I can get another this month!
I think this conversation is crossing between two different companies. One has the requirement to order an entrée from one of 4 categories and the other has the roll requirement.

I think so too.
