Anyone using a Windows phone

I am looking at getting a new phone , and one of the major things I do with my phone is take pictures during shops, I have a Galaxy S3 and the pictures just don't come out very good. The Windows phones seem to have the best cameras, but i am not sure about apps, I am on Verizon.

What are other people using for phones, I do lot of bar shops, I use my camera to take pictures of the bar layout and sometimes people who I don't believe were carded but should have been.

Some places also require pictures of storefronts and many times I need to be far away in order not to be noticed.

I read about Verizon offering the Sony Experia but they seemed to have dropped it?

So what do you carry in your pocket?

This is why I always carry a camera and a phone.

Phone for easy photos. Camera for photos which require a lot of zoom and/or manipulation of settings in order for the photo to turn out right.

I now have a Samsung Note III, as of yesterday, but honestly the photos aren't as good as I thought they would be.

I have been very surprised at how well the camera quality is on the new iPhones, and I am not an iPhone fan at all.

I also use a camera and a phone. I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 and am not that thrilled about the picture quality or the phone itself for that matter. During my last cell phone shop I was looking at the new windows phone but have not heard too much either way about it and was also wondering what the buzz was about it. My dream would just to be able to carry one electronic device that would do it all - including writing and submitting my reports for me.
Do you like your Galaxy S3 otherwise? Because I'm pretty sure the S5 has a great camera, rated even higher than the iPhone's. Personally, I'd go that route before going with a Windows phone.

I absolutely LOVE my windows phone. I've had both an HTC 8x and Nokia Lumina 925. Both had great cameras and to me the OS is much more user friendly than either iOS or Android. I also highly recommend testing out the keyboard to see how it fits your hand. Both of the windows phones I've had are much better than either of the two android phones I've used. On the androids I had a really bad problem hitting N or B instead of the space bar that I have never had on the windows phones. As far as apps, I don't use a ton so everything I've ever needed have been available. After two galaxys I will absolutely never buy another Samsung phone. Biggest pieces of **** I've ever used. Even my old blackberry was better than that junk.

I use a Motorola Droid and Samsung Galaxy S3 but still use my digital camera for photos.

I do not like my Samsung at all so I do not think that I would be getting the S5 - not that impressed with all the apps since I really do not use them. I really like the Nokia Lumina windows phone that I saw at my last shop and the camera was pretty impressive. Thanks for the tip on the keyboard since that is one of my complaints with the Samsung : ) .
Samsungs are great phones, but the Samsung keyboard sucks. I use the Google keyboard instead.
I have a Nokia Lumia 520. I haven't had to take any elaborate pictures with it but I have taken storefronts, receipts, etc.
It does NOT have a flash. It is 5 MP. I think it takes nice pictures and I like its Smartshoot feature.
I never thought I was an "app" person until I switched from an Android OS to a Windows OS. They don't have the Geoverify app or many other apps; many companies just don't make their apps for Windows.
By design, the Nokia Lumia has a very sensitive screen- great if you are wearing gloves. It drives me crazy.
Nonetheless, this phone is only about 60.00 and does a better job than phones 2 or 3 times its price. It is a high quality smartphone for a low price. Many claim it has the best and most accurate GPS of any phone on the market. You don't need a wi-fi or cellular connection while using it-it gives turn by turn audible directions offline.
I have a Windows phone, and it does the job. I'm curious to hear if anyone else has discovered any apps that can help with MS-ing? Any time I hear about a helpful app, it's never available for Windows phone.
One of the benefits of the Windows platform is being able to create your own apps pretty easily. They even have apps to help you create apps, LOL, plus loads of tutorials. One of my coworkers has been playing around with it and has made a few apps for himself. I'm not interested in that, but if you are, then the information is out there. He's not even all that techy, and has made some pretty decent apps.

Not able to comment much on the windows phone but I can say that I was shockingly unimpressed with the S3 camera. Many of the photos I sent to friends, facebook etc were horribly blurred. I did receive advice to enable the "anti shake" setting on the S3 camera and things seem to be a bit better but I really haven't put it to the test yet.
I have a Samsung S4 which I got as a hand-me-down when I upgraded my son to an S5. The S4 takes great pictures at 13 megapixels. The camera on the S5 is truly amazing. The resolution is up to 16 megapixels, but the ability to get pictures in bad lighting conditions on the S5 is what is really amazing. It has seellctive focus like on the Nokia Lumina. It can take stunning photographs in backlit conditions. If you have a Best Buy near you with a Samsung Experience area in it, I suggest that you go there and have the Samsung representative demonstrate the camera. It is awesome. It can alsoremove people after you take the picture, operate in burst mode, and the high resolution means that you can crop the photo and still have more resolution than some MSCs will even accept. I am waiting for the S6 to come out so that I can inherit the S5 from my son.

I had a Windows phone for about 18 months, The camera was great, but it never synced correctly to my Outlook calendar (which is strange, since they're both Microsoft products). I also got tired of the lack of apps. When the screen cracked I asked Son #2 for a hand-me-down iPhone 4, which I'll use until the contract is up in January

I use a LG G3 phone and get good quality pictures. I am not familiar with a windows phone but do find the G3 quality superior to my previous Iphone 5C. I also like that my phone automatically resizes photos if I am sending on off receipts. I still need to download and batch resize for most jobs.
