You need 76 specific interactions (Hotel/Casino) for $125..Shop Fee.

I believe it is a real MSC. I just am not familiar with that shop. I have done assessments for 5 different MSC on casinos since 2006. Might even be one is the same (don't name them). I just know planning ahead is key to a casino shop, and then reports ASAP so we can provide the best detailed requested by the MSC.

The one thing I have learned to appreciate in having this business is the absolute enjoyment I get from going somewhere and not having to worry about timing, names or reports!

I have seen these shops before and all I know is that the amount of information they want you to gather in that short amount of time is just stupid. Take a trip to the casino with a set amount of gambling dollars, have a free drink and a cheap buffet! Enjoy yourself, life is too short to sell out!

Consider this.... WhT if the shop is rejected? Then what?

O.o o.O

Happily shopping New England and beyond!!!!!
I cannot beleive this thread! I was just sent an email on this shop, and read it to my husband. We used to do casino shops in the late 90s for the company in Minneapolis-St Paul, and we had fun with it. Now a days, we have given up gambling (we live in Vegas). Since I do not contract with the individual MSCs, I don't usually see the complete shop until it is assigned. Knowing what I read in this thread, I am glad we did not decide to do it!

Just think, all of the paperwork, including W2G (gambling winnings) that is reported to the IRS. I would guess when you return the excess, you could demand the W2G...(the W2G is filled out if the jackpot is $1200 or more).

A scheduler once said if you have a few days to do the shop (non overnite shop)...if you win on the first day, keep the money and redo the shop on the next day. It is not a shop until you submit it. But, like others, I won't be in that situation. S2

Are you a "shill?" (reminds me of that) My dad used to go into the poker rooms, play on the hotel's money and receive a fee for the day. (not sure if he could keep a % of the winnnings but knowing my dad, likely he worked out a deal with them. he did this part time and he enjoyed it.) It was a night shift. He also did the black-jack tables. His job was to get games started or fill empty tables to entice customers to join the game. They did not have Players Cards back then and they tracked his presence when he signed in to play.

Do you do weekly set or is this more random mystery shopping?
No Shill, not at all. I complete 2-5 Casino shops per month within a 200 mile area of my home base. It is through a reputable MSC, and the Casino departments get reports on each aspect that I am asked to check. My typical shop takes 2-3 hours on site, with about 30 different interactions. Some that require overnight stays are a bit longer and with a few more stops. Food and Beverage outlets, Cocktail Servers, Security personnel, Slot Attendants, etc. Table Game play is involved, but just to see how the dealers and 'pit bosses' interact with the players.
The original posting with the shop offer 'stuffing the toilet' is very different than what I do, and wanted to let people know that.

My Source of Cash.

Some people call it a Mystery Shopping Company though.
I have personally done this shop plenty of times. I did the test shop in three cases to land the client.
None of the casino hotels are anything like Circus Circus or Tropicana (which is now DoubleTree in Las Vegas). Last time, the nightly rate was $250-$350 a night for a standard room. I spent no less than $400 on food in addition to the lodging. Sometimes, you get a spa treatment or a poolside cabana with a server. These shops aren't for everyone. Most of the casino shops require at least one visit to a high limit table, playing $100 hands of BlackJack. I did well last time. I maxed out the winnings. The directions on most shops now state that you cannot gamble at all "on your own time" until all interactions are complete and you exit the building, which shows you are finished. You can then return and play whatever you wish.
