What is Chem-Dry Carpet Cleaning Method?

Anyone every done this shop and had light carpet (on top of a cement slab foundation) cleaned? Do they really use a dry cleaning method? I just had a flood in my unit and it would be great if I can clean rather than replace the carpet. What is the green method? TIA

I just did this shop. It's not dry. They use a carbonated solution that doesn't include soap. Apparently using soaps on your carpets just leaves behind. Residue which attracts more dirt. That's really all the info the guy gave me. Not sure of that helps at all.
Their web site has an "about us" section.

Thanks for the feedback Kappa3245 and JenW. I think it is worth an attempt. My condo apt flooded over the holiday and spent yesterday blow drying the carpet. It is discolored/stained in several places from the water. I am trying to contemplate the next steps and saw the Chem-dry shop.
I would recommend taking this shop. My shop was a really good experience. Night Owl.
The extraction methods are the best in my opinion. I worked in the carpet cleaning industry for about 5 years. You have to be careful if you had a flood and you might have to replace the padding. It takes forever to dry and you can get mold and mold spores that grow in there. I would have someone check your padding to make sure all is good under there. ChemDry uses a chemical brightener (this might be incorrect if they have changed their method in recent years).

Thanks for all the advice. I procrastinated and missed the shop. The reimbursement is generous. I am trying to hold out for the shop. Thanks tamalama I had a blower for two days so the wet floors dried completely. I want to brighten up the discoloration and get the carpet renewed. Terrible time for this to happen at the holidays.
