Intelli Shop

Grr, just need to blow off a little steam.

I've been systematically going through my company list, logging in and making sure my cell phone number is current.

I log in to Intelli Shop and find a flake citation that I flaked on a brake inspection shop!

This was a last minute shop that the scheduler e-mailed me directly and raised the incentive for.

I drove 60 miles round trip for that shop, and when I got there the mechanic told me that my rear mounts were in such bad shape that he was afraid they would drop if he hoisted the car up.

I e-mailed the scheduler and told her what the guy said. He printed me a quote for the repair and I attached that. She e-mailed back saying they couldn't accept it as the actual inspection wasn't done. She thanked me for trying and was really friendly about it. Then I saw the citation.

I know it's not that big of a deal, but it just frustrated me.

I feel your pain. My past two oil change/inspection shops have resulted in alarms being sounded for - a nail in the tire's edge, a burned out bulb in the brake light, and on another car, "tire degeneration" due to age, not mileage. My shops were completed, but real safety issues were pointed out.
I could see how they might view it as a flake because they at the last minute had to go find someone else, but to put it on your record when it really was not your fault that the guy would not do the inspection is an unnecessary piece of garbage behavior on their part.

I have been thinking lots and lots about 'mutual respect' and shopping the past few days. Certainly respect is something that one earns--whether you are a shopper or a company. I must say that the list of companies for whom I have no respect left grows longer and longer all the time. Although I don't have a scoreboard like shoppers get on SASSIE for how companies are doing, there are certainly companies I have no intent of working for in the future because they have lost my respect both for how they treat me and how they treat other shoppers.
Sad. With some MSPs, I've become only my shopper ID number, with no regard for my history. What goes around, comes around. I think, in time, performance will prevail.
I worked for Intelli for 3 years, received an email telling me what a valued shopper I was...blah, blah, blah! I did a little pilot for them as a favor (since it was close to me), and bought the candy bar. I somehow lost the receipt. They brought my rating down from a 10 to a 1, and I cannot get shops since you need to be a 5. I think a little stiff. I know it's my fault, but geez, give me a 7, not a 1.....

Live consciously....
I got cited for flaking on a bar shop by Mercantile Systems. I had a wisdom tooth pulled the day before and wasn't allowed to drink alcohol. I emailed that to the scheduler, but it didn't make a difference.
Mercantile is one of my favorites...do the lunch Bar Audits often, and always get a 10 (do give very detailed reports). I really think they should view us as humans, not robots.

Live consciously....
Intell de activated me as I did a gravesite shop 150 miles round trip from my home and they did not like the way that I cut the grass around the grave. I had done many shops for them and got lotta good guy reports. She wanted me to go back and recut the grass..She should not hold her breath on this one. I did not get paid but what the Hell, it is only money they screwed me out of..But not again.
I find that certain schedulers there are nicer than others, and more responsive than others. I don't dislike the company, but it is far from my favorite.

I never said "Intellishop sucks".

Just to update I contacted the scheduler, went through all my e-mail communications and forwarded our communications to her. She removed the citation and apologized. She explained how with so many IC she deals with it is not unheard of for her to miss an e-mail or get mixed up when it comes to citations. Schedulers are human too.

My shopper rating is back up to 8, and I feel a bit more comfortable with the company after my recent correspondence with the scheduler.

It's nice that it was resolved fairly. Your approach to getting it resolved worked well!
I'm just glad I save all my sent mail since I have enough space to keep everything!

Ya, at least they were fair in the end.
