Jobslinger and local jobs

Hello,

I have seen jobs on jobslinger that are in my area but when I go to the MSC website to apply, they don't show up. Not even if they were just posted. I can't find any jobs even though I have received 9 and 10 ratings for my reports.

Can anyone tell me what's up with that??

They might have been assigned already.

I had that happen to me in the past too. At least you're registered with them and will be able to check out their boards now.

Jobslinger is notoriously out of date in my area. I absolutely never look at it anymore like I did when I first started this since I noticed that jobs would be on there a week after they were gone from the boards. Now I just take a look once every few months to see if any companies I don't normally check might be posting shops in my area.

Thanks for your respones. when is a good time to check the MSC individual websites for jobs. Most of the time when I check them, there are no jobs. It's frustrating.

You will learn eventually when MSC's normally post their shops, especially for the ones that you like working for. Depending on your area you might learn that a company never has shops in your area, and it cuts down on the amount of work logging in and checking shops.

Jobslinger is so dissappointing for me. All the shops are old and are already filled. It's a good way to find out who shops what, though.
