Have Maritz bank shops changed?

I'm going to be on the road Thursday and planned to pick up four bank shops. I've shopped each of the four I chose but it has been over a year. When I tried to schedule, I got an error stating I could not schedule because they were more than 30 miles from my home.

I know the other company that Maritz partnered with has that requirement but I've done them all over the state for Maritz. I haven't done one in about six weeks. Has something changed?

Yes, the program has changed. My understanding is that now the bank must be within 30 miles of your home address or in the same telephone area code. You are also limited to 30 banks per month. For all the correct information on the new program, call the Maritz bank team.

Thank you. I guess that just ended my bank shopping career as there are only a couple within 30 miles of me and I've shopped them to death. Oh well. On to the next mystery shoppng experience! I cannot say I'm particularly disappointed.
Good luck getting that Grand Canyon bank shopped..... I've made huge bucks driving 7 hour round trips to get that one for them several times.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I understand these changes came from the bank, not from the MSC.

I believe that is correct Mary and it is not working out so well in my territory. There are a ton of ODP's sitting on the job board and not very many Combos.
There are a TON of both kinds of shops sitting on the board in my area and they're all bonused. I've pretty much hit my limit for the month and it's so frustrating seeing them all sit there with bonuses and can't take them!
There's not much left on the board here. I'm curious to see how it goes next month. I've never done as much in the odd numbered months and I'm curious as to whether there may be shoppers who were maxed out at 60 who will have to cut back and make more available on the board.

I have yet to see a blue bank bonused by this MSC in my area. Seems we have an over abundant supply of shoppers (not news).

Yes it is frustrating. I used to do 60 or so a month and saved a couple of days at the end of the month to pick up nicely bonused routes. Perhaps the bank will see the error of their ways and switch back. Or perhaps they will decide the MSC is not doing their job and change MSC's. That, in my opinion, would be a mistake.
I do these shops as well, and tho they are for Maritz (who I love), they are scheduled by another company with a PI licence that is required to shop in NV. I thought the zip code had to be within 30 miles of the branch, not area code.

Anyway********** If you have not realized it yet, the bank has caller ID and knows the phone number you are calling from!***************** I wondered if I should *67 before I call the branches because of this. I don't want a banker to try to look me up cuz I always say I don't have an account with them. I do have an account with that bank chain, and will not shop my branch, but I will any others nearby. I also do the phone only, from the branches farther away than I want to drive.
My understanding is the qualification is within 30 miles of your home address OR in the same area code. I shop banks that are more than 30 miles away but they are the same area code.

The banks were within my area code but about 70 miles away. The system would not let me schedule

Caller ID block DOES NOT WORK if you are calling a toll free number. Calls with blocked Caller ID have never been perfectly anonymous. Calls to 1-800 numbers are unmasked, for instance, because the recipient pays for the call.

I've been shopping for Maritz for over 6 months now and have never seen a bank shop. Am I missing something here? Or what? I would really appreciate hearing from a few people as to where and when these shops are offered.

Or is it that the bank shops are only in certian states?

A Mystery Shopping baby who has a lot to learn, but I am learning thanks to all of the great advise I get from reading so many of the posts on this forum.
margaretbella, you may be in the wrong area geographically for the bank shops I do. Put in a Fort Worth zip 76110 and do a 100 mile search. That will pick up the entire DFW Metroplex. See if you see some banks. If you do, this means the banks are available to you but you're not in the right place to get them.

If you don't see any banks, I suggest calling Maritz and asking for the bank team. They'll fill you in on what the circumstances are regarding you and the banks. If memory serves me (and it doesn't serve me often lately) you have to get signed up with the bank team to see the banks.

Thank you much. I'm thinking perhaps I'm not in an area that has bank shops with Maritz.

I have done bank shops with other companies and although they have a lot of narritive I do n't mind that because they do pay well.

Happy Shopping!!!
Maritz has basnk shops in NJ, but that bank does not have branches in Delaware or in my part of Pennsylvania (maybe not in any part of PA). The don't even extend to southwestern NJ. I used to do one in Central Jersey (along the Jersey Shore), but I did not consider them well-paying considering all the scanning of documents which was required.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
