Dim-Sum question...

Doing a dim-sum today for the first time. I have done schedule A but not schedule C before. Can anyone give me an idea of how much this is going to cost out of pocket? I am short on cash and do not want to spend $34 to mail this to a food bank. Anyway to keep it under $10? I know that I have to buy the box but I am just not sure how much postage is going to be. I live in CA and the box is going to Michigan. Any tips would be appreciated...thx.

I believe you will be out of pocket around $30. There is no way I know of to keep it under that. For this reason I do not do these shops because I don't want to be out of pocket $30 if the shop gets rejected.
I saw the subject line and was expecting a restaurant shop.

Rhw sim-weight shops are supposed to trigger a high cost. Depending the size box, it will probalby cost more than $30 to ship it, plus the cost of the box, plus the cost of the stuff inside it. Due to the weight, the box costs me about $17 to ship from DE to FL based on distance when they forget to measure the box and it does not trigger dim-weight charges. It is impossible to ship a box of the correct size and weight for under $10 even if they neglect to measure it.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I don't do the Dim Weight too much to lost if rejected. But I do A, B, and D all the time. Good for care packages etc.

A Dad shopping the Ark-LA-Tex and beyond.
I thought this was gonna be about my favorite Asian fast food, although they do not sell dim sum.
I am trying to remember if I saw this in another thread, but seeing these code words, I can see why it might not have come up in a search.

Does anybody know if they allow the option to NOT send it to a food bank, in other words, to send something to an address of your choosing?! I am on vacation and dying to ship my clothes back so that I can have a lighter load when I fly back. Going to check with the MSP too, but thought I'd see if there was some collective wisdom here.
I'm doing a dim sum shop on Monday. Can I send boxes of Chinese Food to the food bank?
WOW, would LOVE to do dim sum! I am frm So Cal and I can't imagine it being 'cheap' at all. Out of Denver here, there is a big restaurant that does Dim Sum wknds.. a party of two will leave full at $12.. three, about $16..
