ONLY 3 states away!!!!!!!!!!!! just a 4-5 hour drive......

this is the company that doesn't want to bankrupt themselves giving huge bonuses of a few dollars to do an extensive shop that only pays $10.

3 states away, that is nothing. How about 9 states? Better still, lets stick with miles. 1500 miles away = "in your area"

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
I live in Northern California (1 hour north of San Francisco) and constantly get the 'we have shops in your area' emails for shops in Southern California (Los Angeles area) that are at least a 14 to 16+ hours drive, round trip, away from me. I also get the ones that are for clients that are states away or completely across the country from me.

One of the MS companies offered to add a couple of dollars bonus to a low paying job located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (I am not kidding) if I would get it completed by the day after the email was sent. I literally laughed out loud at that one and wrote them back saying that I would be happy to do it if they paid or reimbursed my airfare and other travel expenses because California is nowhere near where they were asking me to go. tongue sticking out smiley

I live in New York state. One tried to send me to Nebraska because. according to one scheduler, they were "so close in the alphabet".

I can almost understand emails, because most seem to be just mass emails. It's when you get the phone call for shops near you, only to discover during the conversation that the scheduler for some reason thinks that New York is synonymous with New Hampshire. Oops, forgot to refresh the screen. And somehow the schedule thinks they can still talk me into it!
I get emails for shops in MA becasue they think that is Maryland (MD).

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
With so many emails...i often just delete many without reading them because I waste too much time reading emails about shops that are no where near me......
Try living in Canada, the second largest country in the world. Apparently they are all "in my area".

Yup, I have a slew of 'invites' for BC shops but mostly at Maryland and Chicago. All with bonuses. And they are long lists of shops in my area.

I live in Texas, and anything "3 or 4" states away is easily 10-15 hours away! Heck, some places in state are 8 hours away.

But here's the kicker, I appied for one job and the scheduler asked me why would I apply for a job that was 1600 miles away. She was using the correct zip codes, but I told her the area was 20 miles at most from me. Go figure.
