Lots of companies do parking shops. I do a ton for one company that pays $15 and you either park for 45 or 75 minutes. I can usually get work done at a Starbucks or schedule something else nearby.

Trendsource pays $9 to $10 and only requires 30 minutes but their form is quirky. I don't have the patience for quirky.

Two companies locally do hotel valet shops--the pay is $10, the cash outlay is greater and I don't enjoy having to kill time in hotel lobbies.

Ann Michaels has a small parking client but their scenarios sometimes require a crumbled or lost ticket and those stress me out.

I haven't tried Market Force's yet.
I used to do three downtown garages last year. It was great to stack another shop that would be difficult to park and complete with the garage shop paying for my parking to eat at a trendy downtown restaurant a block away. I have not seen them come back yet this year.

Has anyone seen Standard Parking this year?

I hope they didn't stop the shopping program or jump MSC's on me.
Yep, I see a TON of standard parking..... I have been gun shy on accepting these as the company they are with makes me slightly nervous. I have done gas stations for this company and they have claimed (more than once) that all pictures were not uploaded. Ummmmmm yes they were, the form would have given an error message if they weren't. The first time this happened I had bought a new phone and stupidly didn't transfer any pictures except for ones of my kids..... Donated the phone and didn't get paid for the shop... Learned my lesson and I save all pics until I get paid now.

I am unsure if this company is sketchy in general and looks for reasons not to pay or if I have just had an "off" experience with them.

I would like to do these as I LOVE being downtown.

op

Trendsource, ditto here, I tried a few shops for them, QUIRKY AND WEIRD, I thought I was the only one, "I was like, who the heck writes these questions???" I am on the other side of the fence and doing the shop is different from just bursting out with repetitive, silly, unrelated questions. Then, they reduction of payments per their judgement. So, yes I stay away from Trendsource also. As for MarketSource, I believe they are Twins, identical with Trendsource. Quirky Format and Questions. So, next... thank God for Sassy Formats, some battles are not worth it.

I will try the parking job or two, as for expenses????????? Is that only expenses to pay solely for the parking fees or is that for my private used, shopping spree??????? can I get that luckysmiling smiley
@ luckygirl0100

sorry about the mishap you had with the phone, and shop, I've had to eat my losses a couple times, too, though are all lessons... hey, at least they got a cute picture of your kids... as for you're skeptical about a company not being honest with validating you're shop, you have all that right and more to believe so.... Trust no one, but know thine self...smiling smiley
I have done parking jobs for several different companies and all the ones I have done want basically the same information. I have no problem with the scenerios but you do need to lay out some extra $$ on the lost ticket ones. The mutilated tic ones are a bit tricky as sometimes they are able to get the ticket to work and I always worry that the msc company or client may not believe I mutilated it. But, mutilated parking ticket is a lot easier than a mutilated pizza shop. The fees vary from company to company.
I have run into lots being full when I arrive and that can be a pain. Almost full is even worse as you can do the job but have to circle round and round to find your space. So plan ahead if you think you might run into some of these situations. Otherwise, they are really easy jobs in my mind.
The standard parking are done still. The company that does them is one of my favorites. To the poster who had the problem with pics with them I think it was an off case. They have always paid and I have never had a problem.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Ditto what Jennn said.

I'll add that the hotel valet shops require some timing and more narrative than the garage shops. The Ann Michaels shops require more interaction with the attendant than just paying, be it a lost ticket, a question of some type, etc.

I do some garages near my office, and garages when I need to do something somewhere else in the city. Not only do I save money on the parking, I get paid to do it.

I've done tons of the valet shops at hotels. I usually use them as stopovers, where have have my car valet'd while I go in and catch up on notes before the next stop. Beats sitting in the car and I get paid to catch up! smiling smiley Only works with other shops in the area, which usually are available.
