Cool! Arch, let us know about the report. Harder? Are the requirements massively different?
Or is a competitor having them shopped?

Harris Teeter has their local competition shopped.

I to, don't want to lose out on the 5 Guys. It is my monthly treat to myself. I hope I am signed up with the new MSC that gets this shop.
The competitor idea is interesting, but I don't think that this is what's going on because my impression is that the shop and report are the same as before.

The bad news is that the Five Guys shops with the new MSC in my neck of the woods are reimbursement-only!
Oh this is good news and I will be on the lookout. I am banned from the MSC that is possibly losing them. Any hints on the new MSC.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
The contract could be up soon and they are just testing out another company. I doubt they are going to get a quality report for the food alone. I would not fill out the current report for just the food if the location was my neighbors house.
Darn, sounds like another pay cut. sad smiley

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut

I did one with a shop fee and I thought it was low! Who would do this for reimbursement only?
I got the email from the new company as I do other shops for them. No fee. deleted the email. I will wait for a shipping shop instead.

Awhh..#$@!tongue sticking out smiley Not sure who it is but I like the BIG company's reimbursement. When I figure out who it is, I might give it a try, but less than 5% of my shops, are reimbursement only...
Reimbursement only in the DMV area. Not worth it without pay.

I am banned from doing them for the current MSC (and the manager busted me despite the fact that there has been zero problems at his location ever!) I don't really miss them.

I did enjoy going to the location that got me banned a few months ago, a good 9 months after the ban, and randomly looking at my watch and staring intently at the staff. I even ordered a non-typical meal. Excellent service all around.
It baffles me how these shops keep getting taken despite the low fees and reimbursement that doesn't cover the cost of a meal. Now there's no fee at the new MSC? Ha ha, to each his/her own.

..

just like when a store is going out of business...people swarm it at 10% off..instead of waiting to get a better deal....and often the prices are still higher with the 10% off than elsewhere!

my full meal at 5 guys has always been covered with the additional fee..maybe about $7 bucks extra.

The only time it doesn't cover the cost of a meal for me is when I take a guest and order a large fry to share. I come in right under reimbursement with my typical order (little cheeseburger, regular drink, little fry).

Yup, just saw a few posted today with a different msc....

What area? I haven't seen any yet and I do shops in Missouri and Illinois.
I got "fired" by the Big Gorilla company years ago, so I am hoping that they switch to a new MSC in my area. This is one instance where I would be willing to work for food since I pass directly by two of their locations and would incur no cost getting there. Unless the report was horrible, I think I would be willing to consider the reimbursement as my fee. Not true with mutilated pizza. Actuallk, I did a pizza shop for a new MSC last night and it was very easy. But I waited until it was bonused, since that pizza is not good enough for me to be willing to work for food.

The reimbursement is $11 around here, that covers everything unless you order a double burger. Fees start at $6.

I haven't seen a different company offering this shop in Wisconsin. I will have to watch closely. However, my rule is that I need a fee for most food shops. If I wouldn't stop for a meal normally at that business, you need to pay me for the shop. I try to eat healthy and most of the shops don't offer food I should eat. I will occasionally splurge at a place like Five Guys or McDs for a shop.
The new msc list full reimbursement, no dollar amount, no fee and something about milkshake.

Cubbiecat - not a flat reimbursement? I thought I knew who it might be, but they really like a flat fee, or a flat reimbursement. I assume it makes for less work for them. Well, I am registered with dozens and dozens and dozens of MSCs, so I will just have to be patient.

If the new MSC is truly getting the account, they will find that they will have an incredibly difficult time in getting all the shops completed by deadline with just reimbursement only.
