Advice needed please....

I have a shop scheduled with GFK and I have not been able to pass the quiz and I can't reach the scheduler. Any really helpful tips for me?

PM Dante, perhaps he can help.

Usually if you press a button at the bottom before submitting it will tell you what you missed. I can't remember the exact wording but it's the button other than the submit button. I think maybe it says something like "take another pass" or something similar.

Thanks, it was sitting right there. I don't know how I missed that.

Retake the test....GFK allows that. Take some notes before....

I did, ran out of Tests, and I can't reach the scheduler this is going to be my first flake.

The schedulers are no help with the tests, in my experience. Even moreso if you've run out of tries.

I beg to differ, I have gotten help with tests before. Cori used to be really good about that because their tests were sometimes confusing.

I'm sorry... I should have said GfK schedulers are no help with tests... again, in my experience.

No problem, I have found that out. I haven't done that many shops with them and I don't think that I will do any more. I can read, I can follow directions, I really don't need a quiz but I'm willing to do it sometime. I don't understand schedulers that don't communicate. I should have read this message board before I accepted the assignment I would have saved myself some frustration.

Yeah, gotta love those tests. I agreed to do a last-minute, highly bonused shop 100 miles away and when I was rushing to print the paper work so I could get on the road to get there within the time parameters, I had to stop and go through the damn test. Wasted about 45 minutes of my time if I remember right (had to read everything first and then take the test).

They were desperate to get that shop done and it almost didn't happen just because of the silly test requirement because I barely got up there in time to do the shop.

Time to build a bigger bridge.

I could understand it if I had never worked for them before, but not to worry. I probably won't again. I really don't like working with MSC's where the scheduler doesn't respond.

Hate the tests! If I want to pick up a last minute shop it is almost impossible because of the wasted time in taking the tests. It is really horrible when you don't pass.
They have next to nothing in my area. They did have a wing shop. I did it once for them, and the test was infuriating. The scheduler was super helpful with it. The one question that was holding me back was not really covered in the material to read before the test. It was maddening.

That was the case with me the questions I missed were not covered in the material. I hate that I had to flake on the shop but what could I do?

My scheduler told me if I goofed it, to not do the 3rd time till I emailed, lucky for me she was quick to get back to me, but I still felt dumb :/ I've shopped it once for the new MSC and thanked my lucky stars for the lack of quiz, lol.
I rarely shop for this company any longer due to the tests and the past few highly bonused cell phone shops I took ended up being "Not there." I got a whopping $3 or such. I felt it was deceitful to offer a high bonus and then pay shoppper only $3. Since it's happened more than once, I don't want to give them another shot. Even though it is stated in their guidelines about the closed locations, it doesn't sit right with me after printing, testing, driving, preparing, etc. Just not worth my time.

I completely understand.

Plus, those tests have some wrong wording and/or the guidelines and/or the video will not be correct about certain things on the test. I too, have had to rush and print the guidelines and watch the video to get the test done to perform the bonused shop. Ugh. I wish I had read your post earlier, I would have helped you! The scheduler on this forum, Dante, seems to be the only one that is in tune with what we are going through and understands. Too bad he can't be everyone's scheduler, as that would be a huge territory!
I have taken many tests where the test is flawed and you have to guess the wrong answer to get through it. It's multiple choice and you just guess every variation till you guess right. Assuming, there are not a limits to the attempts taken.

I think one MSC leaves it broken to see if your smart enough to work past the flawed test question and try the ridiculously wrong answer that will allow you to pass the quiz. (Must score 100%)

The MSC will rush creating the test and not verify that they didn't screw up the proper answer choice of the quiz. I don't want to be the one to tell them they screwed up, as some don't take any criticism at all. So depending if I know how the company operates, I may or may not inform them. Just move forward with some companies.

I had the same problem last night with a Maritz test. I've done the shop several times before, but still managed to fail the (poorly designed) test the maximum number of times. When I called the company, the person I talked to said 'oh, is it question 12? A lot of people are getting that one wrong.' Wouldn't you think they'd realize that's a clue that the problem was on their end?

That JUST happened to me, but the difference is that the person at Maritz helped me with the test. I had just missed one question. We discussed it, both of us agreed that the answer to the question was not available I'm off to do my shop. That I can appreciate. Oh, as a sidebar to my OP, I went past the location this morning and that location is not even open!

On days off and rainy days when I'm home I try to update my testing on my most active companies. And sign up with more.

That's a good idea, but what about the companies that change the quizzes every month? Most of the companies that I shop with don't require quizzes, they trust us enough to realize that most can and will follow directions.

Well I like companies that have good work in my area. Thats pretty much my criteria, and GFK does. They also throw good bonuses when a deadline is looming. So if I have to do a test I do it. And every scheduler I've worked with has been super nice and helpful. I love GFK and will continue working for them.

I think that you misunderstood my post. I never said that they weren't a good company and I love that you have had a great experience with the company. Unfortunately for me this was not the case in this instance. Shop all you want no one ever said that you should not.

I second that - they always help if you contact them before you get to the last attempt. They usually warn you to message them if you have already done two passes.

I took a test the other day (can't remember for whom) and there was one question that absolutely had no right answer. I took the 82% and didn't worry about which answer they were counting correct. 80% was passing and that's all I cared about.

I wouldn't have worried about that either, if I pass all is good but the test that I took required 100% I got 92% unfortunately. It's okay though, you live and your learn.
