Cheesecake Factory Shops. New Company VS Old Company

I am just curious how the new company for the Cheesecake Factory compares to the old one? Is the pay more generous or not?

austinleeson - As far as I can tell, only one shopper claims to have found the new MSC. Have you found them also?

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
I don't think there is a new company. The one person who claimed to have found them appears to be a hoaxer.
No I have not. I was just asking if people found it to see if it is even worth spending the time to try and find. Hopefully by the summer we will know the new company, I miss them already.
I have my doubts that there is new company so quick....the former MSC shut down abruptly and cancelled all scheduled shops. I would expect it would be a few months at least to get started elsewhere...likely more...they have to contact other companies...get proposals, etc
I was wondering if there will be a new company. The old company might have gone out of business because The Cheesecake Factory doesn't want to be shopped anymore. I know of several restaurants that stopped being shopped.

Everyone speaks as if that one client was the only one they had. I can think of FIVE other dining clients they had that I have shopped within 10 miles of home and three of them were much more upscale than the lousy Cheesecake Factory.

I'm looking for those three to pop back up on another companies job board. They had a real chef and an ever changing menu at all of them.

I'm just glad I zero balanced my Visa card with them before they closed out the Visa debit card account. I still don't see how after funds were placed into a shoppers account they could legally remove them. That would be an illegal charge-back. Some people reported receiving another Visa card after they closed. I think the person they put in charge of mopping up operations in the new city is confused and did not intend to defraud any shoppers. We'll know soon enough.
The Cheesecake Factory had to be over half of the companies' business. There are 185 Cheesecake Factories and they were each shopped eight times a month.

My card expires 6/30/15. For the cards that were closed, what were the expiration dates?

I think they lost that account and forced them to close. The CKF was being shopped for a proposal to the client by another MSC in late February, early March. If that MSC got the account, I expect them to start popping up in mid May or June. I doubt that CKF wil stop the program because it is the only way for a company to keep control for all their locations and check what is going on.

Have you shopped with the possible new company when they were doing a proposal?

Yes, and both the report and focus are different. Very similar to the report style that this MSC does for all the restaurant's they do. This MSC has gained many restaurant accounts the last few years that were used to be shopped by their previous MSC for ages. However, when this MSC gained the account, both the report and the focus changed dramatically and became more enjoyable.
I still have some funds on my visa account but I never thought their closing would affect the card as long as the card has not expired. This is a Visa card, not a Cheescake Factory card or a [MSC name deleted] card. Have some of you really had your card invalidated and did they contact you to let you know? I have not heard from them.
Hm. I call bogus on many of these responses on this thread.......
They also did the "mouseketeer" shops and several other large retailers. I can't imagine that losing the dessert restaurant would cause them to cease operations.
@PHoebe70,

There are only 200 Disney stores in the USA. There are 185 CKF locations ( x 5 meal period shops X I can not remember if they did 2 or 3 times each meal period per month) + (185 locations X 1 To Go)=.
Yes, but again, I still can't see that the dessert restaurant would "make it or break it" for them. They used to do a seafood restaurant several years ago that is famous for their cheddar garlic biscuits, and they had a ton of those. When those left, they did not cease operations. I think there's more going on behind the scenes that we just don't know about, and will probably never find out. IMHO
why do people always try to guess who shops a company. If you want
to know just ask the company. Send an email and they will tell you

I wish I had a dollar for every PM I receive from people asking me who shops certain companies.
Sometimes successful businesses close for reasons other than revenue.
I tried that. They wouldn't tell me.

I've tried that several times as well. Some of the persons I get on the phone don't begin to know who to transfer me to.
I tried that for CF and wound up at their marketing department. Which of course, did not respond to my voicemail. Go figure.

Somewhere in the Midwest, shopping / auditing full time since 2014. Will use PV-500 for food! smiling smiley
CF, in particular, will not reveal that information to anyone.
I did 2 Bonefish Grills for them and never received my gift card as payment for the shops.

I would love a CF shop!
So I just saw a promo shop, not for Cheesecake Factory but for one of the other restaurants that [old MSC] used to do which I think is under the same ownership as Cheesecake Factory so I cannot mention the msc. The chance of a promo becoming a contract if iffy but at least if this company gets the contract it is a company I am already signed up with so I will not have to go searching for it. One thing I know though, if it is with the company promoing it the report will be more intense.
I also saw a promo shop, but it was not for anything owned in the family of the Cheesecake Factory or Bonefish Grill.
Bonefish Grill is owned by Bloomin Brands, and Cheesecake Factory just has Grand Luxe cafe and some other Pan Asian thing.
I just saw a promo shop for a restaurant in the Landry's family.
I would love it if nationwide shops for something in the Bloomin Brands besides Bonefish Grill started happening regularly!
I wonder what the "old company was" smiling smiley Would love to get some shops done there.

We wouldn't have to shop if we got $1 for every PM right? LOL
