Is this posting for real?

A remote shop that was recently bonused to $30 was just upped AGAIN to this:
Shopper's Pay $47.00
Bonus Pay $30.00
Shop Expenses $12.00
This is a Pilot shower inspection. I'd do it if we could get out there before the due date.

I got a Pilot blast that was usually $12 now doubled to $24 plus $2 for buying a cup of coffee. I couldn't go before the due date either, but it doesn't matter now because somebody quite understandably grabbed it.

On the west coast, those are really in BFE. Somebody would have to be on a serious road trip.
I used to do those all the time for $50 plus reimbusement. That was standard before bonus. I miss them as there are quite a few along my routes. The report was a pain at first but once I got used to it, it wasn't so bad.
I had home renovations done last year...they told me 4 days without a bathroom..ended up a full week with no running water and 3 weeks without a toilet...I considered taking one of these out of necessity! But the nearest one is about 90 minutes away!
Oh and everything but the "shopper pay" was expected to be like that. The shopper pay previously was $10, and it was the same in the email.
Yeah, I see those every now and then I have even grabbed a few. Have a Pilot/Flying J here in town. A pilot about 30 miles away in another town that I have merchandising in about twice a week and another one in a town that's about 45 miles due south that I go to once or twice a month. And those highly bonused shops usually show up after I have already done the stops. Oh, woe is me!
3 weeks without a toilet...I considered taking one of these out of necessity!

That would have made me nutz. Good for you for keeping it together, jmitw!
A word of caution regarding these shops. I only did it once and the experience was a wee bit distressing.

If you are female, you may be regarded as a hooker. Apparently, this is an area where they do work. Also drug dealing. Often there is an undercover person watching the area.

Be ready to show your ID and your some type of information that you are doing a mystery shop.
I just did a Pilot coffe shop Thursday with a $24 bonus. I don't like to get up that early on my "day off" but I had other shops scheduled 10 minutes down the road and just got an earlier start to my day. My husband is a truck driver and usually goes to all the areas that pay good bonuses but I can't get him to sign up for them and I don't ride in the truck with much anymore because of my full-time job. He was shocked it payed that location payed that much.

That's what truck stops are usually like. The big one in Barstow, CA is like that.

I live a short block from a public bathroom at a park that is open from dawn to 10pm.....and I planned on using a commode over night....for a couple days....

they actually told me they try to get the toilet functional within 24 hours...so i didn't think it would be a major inconvenience...and being that they claimed it would just be 4 days without a bathroom...i figured I could get away with just showering elsewhere once....i ended up filling a bucket of water and taking sponge baths and dunking my head in the bucket for 3 weeks!

I would have thrown the contractors off the job on the first day.

They can put a $4 temporary shut off valve on the hot and cold water line where they cut it off to the area being remodeled. Even if it is in the wall and temporary. They should also cover all exposed drains, so no sewer gas comes back up as the traps are going to be missing.

You can also fill several buckets of water ahead of time to dump in another toilet when the water is off to force a manual flush if you need to flush something solid.
you should have called the show Catch a Contractor.

they tried that at 1st....the pipes were so old it was impossible to get the right part...they ran off to home depot to get the part...came back 2 hours and many stores later because it just wasn't available...

and it didn't matter much as it would have only given me a day of water before they started on the kitchen...I have one bathroom and one kitchen...i don't have another toilet.
My neighbor remodeled his only bathroom and I gave him and his girlfriend a key to my house to use my bathroom. They check on my cats when I go out of town so I trust them completely. During the remodel, he accidently smashed a huge hole in his bathtub which he was planning on keeping. When he gets around to fixing that, I will let them use my shower unit in my basement if they want. It's great to have good neighbors like them!

I would have demanded that they get me a port-a-potty. Going through a reconstruction phase now. Supposedly that will not happen to me. Might have to see if one of the neighbors will let us use a hose from there house. But not the guy's behind us as my wife says he is an @#$%&, even the city construction (ie public works) guy's and the person that marks the utility lines say so.

a porta potty wouldn't be possible....and besides...it was easier to use the commode inside...i was able to get one for about $5 at a thrift store....i put a plastic bag in and some cat litter and it was easy clean! It only took a minute to walk down to the park to use that bathroom during the day....and that was definitely better than a portapotty...they had least had a sink with running water...although i found I had to bring my own soap!

It used to be Spike TV.
