When I say $30, that is my polite way of saying no to the overseas people. When an American calls you from that company, you know they are serious and willing to negotiate as well as have the authority to decide on your counter offer.

That is awesome! I had a scheduler call me for a Publix today too, but I didn't counter. I need to get better about that.
Sometimes I feel like writing the MSC and saying since these shops are orphans and you always call at the end of the month with a large bonus if I can do then like tomorrow why don't you save us time and go ahead and just start them at a higher fee. That way when you are desperate I can ask for even more and probably get it.
I got 'lucky' last night, too. In a different way.
I would much rather have gotten lucky that way, than with my end of the month bonuses
