Godiva

Ok it certainly shows that this place is shopped!!! The two sales staff pretty much did everything that was in the guidelines. Great at upselling, professional attitude, great customer service skills.

I did read the other thread on here about Godiva that some posters said they have a hard time spending the required amount of time in the store, the new guidelines does not have any time requirements so just in case you are shy about taking this shop it was really fun to perform this shop! It's certainly nice to be on the receiving end of excellent service.

At first I thought I must have worn a mystery shopper sign on my head but I do frequent this brand and have a loyalty card so I don't think I scream mystery shopper...

I agree, aayaey. I do a number of Godiva and Ethel M, and they are the small locations, with most of the same employees. I always get great service and a, "Welcome back, I haven't seen you in awhile. How are you?" I am also a Godiva frequent shopper with not only my card, but my husband's as well. I shop the discounts when possible, want something for my grand kids or step-mom...I am thrilled that there is no longer the time requirement. Short of picking up EVERYTHING in the little boutiques and reading ingredients, 20 minutes was very, very hard!! smiling smiley
@Aayaey, thanks for the note about the time. There is a tiny store within walking distance of my office. I can't wait to give the shop a try now!
I've been waiting (not so) patiently for my rotation to be up so I can do a Godiva store again. The wait is over, and I just accepted one yesterday :-)

I would imagine there won't be any more emails for this shop. I'm sure people are going to start calling the scheduler ahead of time to get a head start for this one now. I've already decided to give up on this shop.

I think you're being too hard on yourself :-)

It also shows that the associates you dealt with at your location were doing their job correctly. One of the first Godiva shops I completed had an associate who barely acknowledged me and just let me do my own thing during the visit, even after throwing out a scenario to them on what I was looking for. She stayed behind the counter most of the visit and her eyes glued to her phone.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
I've only done one of these, but I've been to the location from time to time. I felt like the service was the same, and it was pretty good service. Like you guys said, the stores are small and I'm glad there wasn't a time limit. I'm often the only one in there when I go, so that is a hard thing to accomplish (spending more then maybe ten minutes). I was surprised I got the shop; it's usually gone. Oddly, on the same day, I also got a Sees shop, which has been unheard it as they go fast. So, I had candy shops at both stores on the same day, probably my first and last. lol
Orrymain, lucky you I have not seen any See's shop in all the companies I am signed up with, maybe I need to sign up for more or like scanman said they are requested by shoppers bf they even make it to the boards... I do love my sweets... Even for the low fee I'm willing to get some free chocolate!
I haven't seen anything about trying to sign up for jobs in advance. I have seen the Sees shops offered but at locations too far out for me. Normally though they are already taken with shoppers on the waiting list.
Thank you for inspiring me to find this company. I found the company and the shop! So excited to pick up some yummy chocolates soon.

Before I got my first Godiva store I had been requesting both area locations for months, but someone else was always faster than me. Then one month I got both stores. I did them both on the same day, and added a Cinnabon store at one of the malls. It was QUITE the sugary day!

LOL I tried for the Cinnabon but never got it. I finally just got my first one; am combining it with a Smashburger, so there's lunch or dinner and dessert. lol

I keep seeing the Cinnabon here in my area... But it says must order berry one... If they allow original I wld prob take the shop... Let me know if the berry tastes good 😋
I think the berry deal is about over. It was the summer push, but I've seen commercials and things that indicate it's ending.
Just did two of the cinnabon berry ones. Iliked the cinnasweets not a berry guy but did them for the free drink in the scorching heat. I also was doing other shops at the mall so just did it for the drink and 4 ucks had my friend who was with me eat the bun. I have done one godiva and I am a guy. I have also done one See's. Now it's sugar I have done several.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
My Godiva shop went well. The chocolatier was very talkative! My shop showed a "please spend 15 to 20 minutes" as the required amount of time. Much better, but mine still had the limit.

I have not see any See's here in Las Vegas, would just LOVE to do a shop there. I just get M&M, Hershey's, Ghirardelli's, Godiva and Ethel M...sometimes. If someone wants to PM the MSC, I would appreciate it. I am scheduled thru the [MSC name deleted] of companies and [MSC name deleted] at this point, and have not seen them offered by them.

Mod note: Please do not link clients with the MSC. It is against forum rules and an ICA violation. Also, please do not ask other forum members to violate their ICAs by asking for PM's for that information.
I have a Russell Stover's scheduled for next month. I didn't even know they were shopped, but when the store popped up on the board of a MSC I just signed up with I grabbed it!

Lucky ladies. Godiva and Sees are the only two candy shops I've seen around here. Of course, that's because we don't have any of those other stores here. lol
imsuzie2,
If you are just registered with [MSC deleted] and [MSC deleted] than it's a different MSC that I did the Godiva shop with, hence the different guidelines.

You are also very lucky you have so many candy shops there in Vegas, I love Ghirardelli's, do you get to order the large sundaes when you mystery shop is that part of it??
I don't have Ethel M, Russell Stovers or Lindt near me... I do have Fran's Chocolate, I wonder if they are shopped...

There are no candy stores in North Dakota besides local ones so I am jealous of you all!
I, too like to do the Godiva shops mostly because of the good service I get, even though I do not like Godiva chocolates (too sweet, too rich and too creamy for me) I am glad there is no 20 minutes requirement anymore.
For those doing Godiva shops, don't forget to invest a couple more dollars beyond the reimbursement limit! When you spend $10, this qualifies you for a free truffle once per month, for 12 months!

Although I've already spent some of my own money at Godiva this year (if Hubby is with me when I stop in for my free piece I always buy him one, too) it's great that doing it as a shop helps get my account to the magic $10.

mshopper127, you should try their Midnight Swirl it's the darkest they have, I also don't like it too sweet but I love their Midnight Swirl and the Extra Dark Chocolate Truffle.

Good tip Tarantado, I was only going to spend the $8 that is reimbursed, then I remembered now you need to meet $10 yearly spending before you can get the free piece not like when they first started anyone can get the free piece as long as you have the loyalty card... So when I hit $10 the day of the shop, the cashier automatically asked if I wanted to take my free piece that day =)
It's time for me to do another one! Haven't seen them in a while but perhaps because I am not in rotation. The last time I did Godiva the salesperson must have given me 4 or 5 of the sample truffles. Then when I made my purchase the other salesperson threw a bunch more in my bag. I do not think they know I am the shopper as I only do it once a year or so and pass by the store in between and browse sometimes. and they always greet me.
Drooling here! Love chocolate but have not been offered any candy shops yet. Doing McD's and. 5 Guys this week. Turned down Aldi's shop because the fee was $4 (gas costs more!)
That 90 day rotation can be a killer. The store near me has been reduced in size due to mall remodeling, so they no longer have the candy case and no ice cream. If you have the Godiva card and spend $10, you will receive a free piece of candy each month as well as $10 worth of candy on your birthday.
