Auto assign shops or scheduler assiging shops

Good morning.

I know most Sassie companies you can auto assign for shops if you meet the requirements and others you send in your application and they will assign you it to you.

But what about other companies that don't use Sassie. There is one shop that I would like to do (Non-Sassie) They send out an mass e-mail of open shops and they said if you can do one please let them know. I send an e-mail saying I can do a shop and please let me know when it is my in my box.

I know I can schedule it my self on the web self but is it better in case in like this to self assign it on the web site or e-mail the scheduler and say that want this shop and they e-mail me back? I know one way or the other I will get an e-mail saying that I have an shop due on XXXX

More About Schedulers

If it can be self-assigned on the web, and you choose to mail the scheduler. then someone else can assign it on the web before the scheduler even reads your email. If I can self-assign, and it includes the bonus (if offered in the email), then I self-assign it.

However not all MSCs are created equal in this regard. Some MSCs allow you to self assign almost immediatley, others you need to prove yourself with them first, still others will not allow you ever to self assign. However, if you have the option, and the shop lists all the correct amounts for Shopper Pay, Reinbursement and or Bonus, then as myst4au says go ahead and self assign if the option is available! If you do not, another Shopper can Grab it out from under you.

Of course you may have to apply and wait. We have all been in that situation, waiting to hear if we have been assigned that nicely bonused shop we are dying to do!

I feel stupid, but I didn't know that you could select to auto assign. How do you do it?

The funny thing is that it can even vary by location. With my main MSC, I have 5 clients for whom I've shopped multiple locations of certain companies over the last year. To this day, I can self-assign for some of these business' locations, but not others.

You really can't choose to do this or not. Either you will be able to auto assign (and it won't be an option) or you wont be able to auto assign. It varies from one MSC to another, from one type of shop to another for the same MSC, and even for different locations for otherwise exactly the same shop. Plus, sometimes an "Apply" shop will turn into an Auto Assign shop when they are running up against the deadline and just hope that someone will see and auto assign the shop.

I have applied for a shop for Strategic Reflections (on Shopmetrics) which was assigned to me instantaneously. I remember thinking I wouldn't have spent all that time providing justification if it was going to auto assign. I have also had the same shop application instantly refused because I was out of rotation, with the same thought afterward. (Now I just put the date.)
