The ever-inquisitive Chipotle customer

Uch. That's so gross. I guess it just goes to show that "All Natural" "No GMO" blah, blah, blah does not necessarily equal "good for you."

Lol well, you're not going to keep a slim waist eating a bunch of rice, tortilla, sour cream and cheese in one sitting. Eating healthy means goes further than just eating organic and / or GMO-free....

I hate any and all questions we have to ask them for Chipotle shops. I understand the purpose but really, what regular customer asks these things? Most people know how to use a computer and can find all the answers to the questions somewhere, usually their website.

Not everyone has easy access to the computer, especially if the local library is a far commute. So no, it's not far-fetched for a customer to ask a live person if the particular location's hiring and how to apply.

In Chipotle's case, sometimes the manager will provide you with a referral name to use to higher your chance for an interview.

I ask the question over the phone!

Are you detailing that you called and asked the knowledge question over the phone in your report? If so, was it accepted by the MSC?

No, "all natural" has no bearing on healthy. Arsenic is "all natural", too!

I am not registered with the company but a reliable source a few years ago mentioned the company was unique in that they did not view their client list as confidential. Nevertheless revealing the name in open forum would be a violation of forum rules.
You're right, Flash. And since it's so public, it makes you wonder what would happen if you just asked Google who's mystery shopping Chipotle.

Did it and the MSC is the very first result.

Could I have a receipt please?
Now isn't that a happy coincidence smiling smiley

Edited to add: From what I understand, the MSC is 'captive' to the company. Over time we have had a few such 'MSC's that were formed to shop one and only one client. There was the MSC called 'Bank Atlantic' and I'm sure you can guess who their client was. Then there was 'Focus on Service' who shopped a particular restaurant and later shopped a few locations of another restaurant that were purchased by the chain.

Well the KQ this month is very easy; stuff I always take note of when I do the shop anyway. Maybe they are feeling empathetic toward us!

I really got it easy. Food Court nullified the KQ. Of course, they set a new record of the number of people on the line. Burrito 1-2, Salsa 1-2, Linebacker, Expo, Cashier, Drink maker (No drink station), To-go order maker #1 (no second line). Nine people on one line is a record for me. Try getting descriptions of nine people in 3-4 minutes. Some editors want descriptions for everyone on the line. Then I could not see the line from any open seating on the food court.
I'm doing my first Chipotle shop this weekend. Hoping I don't forget stuff. It seems like there's a lot to remember.
Descriptions of 9 people is usually not an issue where I live....for all nine it is usually female, dark long hair secured with a logo black t shirt. Lately there have been a few males popping up but they mostly have short to medium dark hair. They say they do not want height, age, weight etc so I stopped mentioning those a while back.
I am curious if anyone has seen the Asian version of Chipotle. Are they shopping them too? There is one not far from me but so far I have only been assigned the Mexican food shop. I did taste the food when they first opened and Chipotle gave me a coupon for a free Asian bowl. It wasn't bad but not as good as Chipotle in my opinion.
Scanman, 9 pepople without seeing the line after you sit down would be hard.

DareWrite, yes there is a lot to remember at first. I made a note file on my phone to prompt me for good notes.

Sandy, I noticed this, too. Last time I did a Chipotle, all the line crew were female with medium length dark hair tied up in a bun. Unless someone has a tattoo, glasses or red hair, I'm not sure how the descriptions are really helpful for identifying crew members.
I'm a little late to the party here, but regarding people who feel uncomfortable with the questions, I want to add that my husband works in a library, and they have people who are well known among the staff for calling repeatedly with the exact same question. One guy always calls looking for a particular recipe. Another person used to call every day to ask what was on TV that evening. There are so many quirky people in the world that honestly, if you went in asking about GMOs every month for a year, they'd probably just think "Here comes GMO-guy" (or GMO-lady) when they saw you coming and wouldn't think any further about it.

We are all here on earth to help others....What on earth the others are here for I don't know.

I did my first shop and it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. I didn't have to ask an actual question this month, so that was good. Looking forward to doing more of these. I love Chipotle!!

I've applied for that MSC, but I haven't heard back from them :'(

I had to wait a while too... they finally sent me an email when they had a training session near (well... kinda near, it was about 35 miles away... which is a comparatively long way away in my urban metro area) to me. Good luck!
