Desperate for Scenario B Guidelines

I was approved for a USPS shop early this morning. I tried to download the PDF of the guidelines from a landing page, but have been unsuccessful. I tried waiting a while between attempts, using a different browser, and restarting my system. Nada.

The little circle spins, and eventually the page times out. It's just not happening.

I emailed the scheduler, but so far, no response.

This shop is about 27 miles one way, so I'll have to leave by noontime in order to do it. It has to be done tomorrow. I can get quite a bit of info off the questionnaire, but there are a few things that require the guidelines to explain, in order to select the right answer to the question.

And of course, this is my first USPS shop, and first for this MSC as well. I hope to get an answer tomorrow morning so I can read over the guidelines before I go.

Experienced shoppers, what would you do? (Thanks in advance.)

Unfortunately I do not have a saved copy of the guidelines, but have you tried accessing them from your smartphone or tablet if you have one? Sometimes I have gotten around guidelines-downloading issues that way.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
sounds like it could be a flash, java or pop up, non secure information page error I would try making sure that flash and java are up to date and try using chrome, or phone/tablet
If you have done Scenario A (or can download scenario A), B is the same except that you have to select a ReadyPost envelope when you get to the post office, address it, and present it ready to mail (if it a box you intend using, bring tape). You will be reimbursed up to $2.20 (I think), but you can use any size and shape envelope or box. The package has to weight at least 18 ounces. You will be reimbursed for a package weighing up to 2 pounds to Zone 4 or less. You can not mail to the same city you live in (I suggest one far enough away to make it reasonable that you would be mailing a package rather than driving). I was just able to access and download the Scenario B guidelines. Do not enter less than 35 minutes after they open, or less than 35 minutes before they close. That rule is enforced strictly.

Thanks everyone!

Tried updating Java, etc., using Chrome, adding the URL to the pop up blocker exception list, attempting to download another Scenario ... and none of these have worked.

I have to think if my firewall didn't like something, it would let me know.

Best option I can think right now, unless something changes in the next two hours, is go with what I have and do the shop. At least I'll get a pretty drive and a nice fall afternoon out of it, and my friend who could use a nice surprise will get something to brighten her day.
The last time I did one, you also have to check for one of 4 specific sizes of ReadyPost products to see if they are in stock.
And you also have to look for a form. The last time I did one it was the Signature Confirmation form but it could have changed by now.

Yes, it did. In the end of July we stated looking for a different specific form.

Thanks, everyone!

Kind members helped out on this thread, and via PM, and I think I did all right with the shop.

Once my report is evaluated, I'll know more. Feet certainly wet, in preparation for when Company Y takes on this project.
Look for a form that replaced the "under $200 insurance" it's now the "under $500 insurance" form.
I wonder if they don't have shops in my area now. I've checked the ton of MSCs I'm signed up with and have yet to see a shop posted for USPS.
According to the scheduling company, they aren’t going to start this for a few weeks.

Just as an aside, in the last 5 or 6 shops I did since the form was for under 500 instead of under 200 only one post office I went to actually had the 500 one and did not have the over and under 200 ones. The rest of them had only the older under/over 200 insurance forms. Does anyone know if the post offices were supposed to do away with the over/under 200 when they started having the under 500 form? This is just for my own peace of mind as I would hate to think so many post offices are failing in updating the form.

Yep they are supposed to.
I so hope the earlier poster is correct that the new company is postponing the start date a few weeks. I'm stuck in a rehab center for four more weeks. Grrrrr.

Update... doing one of the last "clearing up" shops for the soon-to-be-former MSC, while waiting for the advertised Oct. 12 roll out date for the new MSC opportunities.

The ideas in this thread continue to pay off for this technically challenged newbie. I never have gotten the Scenario B guidelines PDF to download onto my laptop, even with Chrome. However, I did get it onto my Android phone quick as you please.

Type too small to read 10 pages comfortably on the phone, but it's there.

I tried sending the PDF to the Cloud. Then I explored Google Docs and ultimately Google Drive, under my "other" email which is the primary among my Gmails, and was able to download to the laptop from Drive.

Yeah! Another bit of experience that might be useful again. I might even use Docs or Drive in the future!

A lot of rigmarole for two shops, but I expect to see a payoff when Company Y takes over.
