Where have all the Grocery Stores gone?

All of a sudden within the last week, they have all disappeared. In fact, everything in my area is gone. I am hoping it is because of the hurricane.... Or did I get the big ax?

I do not what your area is. I shop the Carolinas. Here, grocery stores are aplenty. Let us know which MSCs have posted shops in your neck of the woods?
I was only referring to one MSC really. I've done mostly Shop Rite grocery stores with them. I am outside of Philly, in South Jersey.
I just want to take a minute and thank you for not saying "All of THE sudden." I really hate that.

I am close to the state line of NC and SC and enjoy shopping both states.
All the grocery shops have disappeared in FL as well. I did 3 today and have one Thursday but I assigned those weeks ago! I might be forced to pay for my groceries at the supermarket.

I'm pretty sure it's a regional thing.

It has to be I have never heard anyone say that.

I've got several Harris Teeter stores showing up to be shopped around me on the Tidewater part of VA.
I did a few grocery shops for the low cost supermarket, owned by the Trader Joe's group, last month. $4 shop fee and $5 reimbursement each. The biggest MSC offered the shop. [I'm trying really hard to hint, but not outright tell, and end up a mod. editing it all out. smiling smiley]

You can mention the client or the MSC but not both. You have not said either one. (...just for future reference)

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
Most of the grocery stores in my area are local chains, and I don't believe they're shopped.

Two local chains in my area are shopped. Both are a lot of work and require that you make contact with half a dozen employees, ask questions and write detailed description of the person and interaction. They take a ridiculous amount of time for the paltry sum they pay. I don't take them and I notice that they often sit on the boards unclaimed.
I'm in an area with three grocery chains that I know of being shopped but none of them are attractive. One of the MSCs handling one of the chains is now requiring exact quotes of the closing comments on all interactions which can run as many as nine per store. The shop and the report are already too long for the fee and reimbursement and they haven't increased either along with this new requirement. Most closing comments are along the line of "Thanks, you have a great day." I'm not sure what they're thinking they're going to find out here but it will certainly increase the work load on taking notes and filling out the report. I think I'd rather do a sHell.

Haha we share an opinion of sHell . But there are so many here I can rack up some bucks that way. At least I can do the reveal and get on with it, unlike those grocery stores where I have to stand around and wait for someone to notice me and have an interaction.
Coffee, I do a bunch of sHells, for example four today and five the day before and I don't remember how many the day before that. When the shops are released I load up on them. Not my fave, but bread and butter and cash in the bank.

I used to find it annoying to be asked if I needed help whenever I was standing in one place for more than 2 minutes at Publix. Usually I was picking through a pile of bacon and opening up the two windows and trying to find a package that was more meat than fat. I also always get asked if I need help at the meat counter when picking through the steaks looking for a package with some better marbling and they'd offer to assist me.

Now, I know they have no choice and are doing what they have to and will say yes.

I have had the butcher go in the back and open a whole new side of beef and cut a whole tray of ribeye steaks and pick out the two best steaks and then find me in the store and present them to me. I have also asked them to help me find some lean bacon and one even told me that its faster to just flex the bacon instead of looking through the flaps. If it bends easily, it is more meat than fat as the meat is flexible and the fat is stiff. That tip saves me a few minutes and really works well.
