Maritz Shop Confusion

I have a few revealed gas station shops to do tomorrow and, for the life of me, I can't find any shop instructions. I click on the "Other Project Documentation" link and I get a lot of documents that are helpful, but none of them give an overall process for the shop. Do I need to ask the cashier any specific questions? What photos should I take?

I did one of these about 6 months ago and I feel like, at that time, I found the necessary documents easily.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

There is at least one client where they insist on not having the manual online, instead opting to mail you a printed, bound copy. This may be one of them. In which case, you're out of luck for getting it done tomorrow, and that's not your fault. If they couldn't get you the book in time, it's on them. However, Call first thing in the morning. Someone should be in around 10am eastern.

Thanks. I may have to call There is a TON of information/documents online, but it is not very well organized. I definitely don't want to miss anything!
Click on the shop number. Click on Print/View Other Project Documentation. Click on Client Requirements Guide.

I'm going to feel super dumb if this isn't what you're looking for, but did you try clicking the shop number then clicking the first link: Print/View Evaluation Form ? That's the one that has the actual report questions you'll need to fill out later so it has all the cashier questions and photos you'll need.
If it's the one I'm thinking of then @Hoju is right that there is also a bound manual that's useful for identifying current promotional materials and gives examples of some overall photos that are needed.

That may be the best I can get. I actually went in like I was going to report the shop and made my own cheat sheet from that information. I'm still unsure of which items I need to photograph regardless and which ones only get photographed if there's a negative. I plan to take a butt-ton of pictures and figure it out afterward.

I just thought I had remembered receiving a traditional "guidelines" sheet the last time, that summarized everything in a neat, easy to digest, bundle. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong. (probably!)
If it's the one I'm thinking of, you should take lots of "Overall" pictures. Big, sweeping photos that capture larger areas as much as possible. Good luck!

If it's the seaside one there is a question your supposed to ask the cashier. Something about why their gas is the best. I know, the question practically screams "I'm a shopper".
Don't forget to get a safety vest. One of the required photos is a selfie of you on site wearing the vest. I waited until the day-of and could only find vests that cost more than the shop fee, but there are cheaper versions online if you have time to wait.

Reading this post, sounds like at least two different gas stations shops are being discussed. Although a safety vest is needed for most audits for this MSC not all of them want you to take a selfie. Techncally, @meghan9262----> be sure of the one you are shopping.

Safety vest can be purchased at ODD-LOT and Walmarts for under $3. If you have a OLLIES in your town they sell safety vest for $1.99.smiling smiley
Maritz shops at least 4 different gas companies in my area. Each of them is different. Only one of them sends you the manual and the shop form in the mail. So, if you are doing the Green and White one, you will need the printed manual, AND you need to have been sent the NCR (now carbon required) form (4 different sheets) to fill out when you are on site and leave a copy with the cashier. If you are doing Red and White (might be Blue, Red and White depending upon where you live), Blue and Yellow, or Yellow and White, then all of the information is online. Nothing for those is mailed to you.

The seaside shops and the green and white shops both send printed manuals. If you did one earlier this year, then it was sent to you and they expect you to use it all year. If it's another Maritz GS client, then MDavisnowell's instructions above will yield the instructions.
Both the dinosaur and the seaside gas stations have printed manuals sent to you in the mail. The other two gas stations done by Maritz do not. That's all the gas stations they have I believe.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
They also have a red and white brand in my area where they mail you the paper guide.
I shopped the "orange and black striped feline" gas station today. They had all of the necessary paperwork online... on 9 different pages. I picked through every attachment and made my own cheat sheet of sorts and it worked out fine. I was able to answer every question and had all of the proper photos.

I was thinking that, when I did the shop last year, one of the attachments was a consolidated checklist-type page. Either I was remembering it wrong or it was wishful thinking.
I agree with you about not being very organized, I am set to shop a gas station but feeling very confused on directions, I have all the paperwork I could find on line but I keep reading about a survey sheet or something, other ones I have done has a guideline sheet that you mark all your answers and stuff on and I don't see that here, I have a sheet that says "Fueling stations data collection worksheet" an another one that says "[client name deleted] questions with potential answers with plenty promo" and that sheet the type is sooooo small I can barely read it.

Mod note: It is against forum guidelines and an ICA violation to name the client when the MSC has already been mentioned.
