Greyhawk is great. AND, he know what equipment will, and will not, produce video that is acceptable to video shopping MSCs and clients! Don't get anywhere near most of the junk sold on eBay, since it is not MS industry standard!

Your great post makes me want to start video shopping! smiling smiley
Sunny,
I hope you will. There is more than enough video work to go around and the field is growing by leaps and bounds.

video shopping is not useful for people w/full time jobs. I was shot down just for asking to fill out an application because I work Monday-Friday.
Shirley,
The majority of video shoppers that I have met in the last 10 years are women. What video shops are you seeing that seem to be just for men?

I do: new homes, apartments, new and used cars, automotive repair, retail, banking, assisted living, memory care, independent living, colleges, and a few food shops with video. And I live where there are few retail video shops because I am in a 2 party state, bordered by DE and PA, also 2 party states, so not much banking or retail is recorded.

Not much to choose from unless you are a man.. Still not much then..

WHAT? I'm not a man and I have more shops than I can do. I am constantly turning them down.

Edited to add: I also live in a 2-party state. Lately, I have seen furniture and retail stores. I am nervous about taking those and accidentally record customers.

Cubbie, accidentally recording customers "in passing" is really not a problem, from what I have been told by MSC attorney's. It's like when a reporter is interviewing someone "on the street" and a passing conversation sort of "drifts" into the recording, or even an adjacent conversation is picked up for a short time. If/when another customer appears and seriously "butts into" a recorded session, I just interrupt the session that I am recording by saying that I need something from my car, or need a "pit stop." If they are still there and talking with the sales rep when I return, that falls under my general orders to get out of the shop if a serious customer comes on the scene. In a retail setting, all I have to do is to browse until that customer has been served and then resume the shop, unless they end up going for a test drive with my target, lol!
