Bed,Bath, Beyond-new guidelines

They took out one step..upped it to $15 cash and $10 reimbursement.....but as far as I know you still have to carry a bulky item the entire shop if you are not offered a cart. I used to do a lot of BBB when I could get them for about $30 total cash/reimbursement with the previous MSC....and could get health and beauty items I needed....there are a couple gift type items I need......but as i don't have 3 hands...how do you manage when you are not offered a cart? In the past I was only offered a cart once in all the numerous shops--probably over 100 I did. In the past you only had to carry it a short time.

I could see something like make at least 2 complete laps around the store for a minimum of 10 minutes and be sure to walk near each employee....and if not offered a cart put it back./get your own cart,,,.but now you could end up carry the item for an hour. I physically can't even do that

Why would you be in the store for an hour?

We are all here on earth to help others....What on earth the others are here for I don't know.

I could do that easily in a hardware/ building supply store. One would walk around the store, look at things, gather ideas for gifts or try to decide which item would look better in this room or that room, perhaps check out a gift registry, visit a restroom etc. It's not hard to kill time in some types of stores.

Do the instructions specifically state that you have to be there for an hour? If so, it's not worth it for me.
Two laps around some of the stores in my area would take the place of a visit to the gym. These stores are huge and some of them have a huge upstairs and downstairs with lots of twists and turns so there are hidden depts you might not easily find unless you specifically know where to turn right or left. I have never done one due to the reports in the forum of greeting and describing endless employees.
The last time I was at Bed Bath and Beyond, it took me an hour and a half and it was a smaller store (just one floor and was in a strip mall). Then again, it usually takes me two hours to do a grocery shop as I roam all the aisles to look for all deals that I can get with my coupons and phone apps.

obviously some people aren't familiar with BBB and the number of interactions and steps....a couple laps around just seeing if you are greeted, multiple scenarios...all while trying to take notes with a bulky item in your hands..especially now that you can't do it 1 handed using a cell phone to type notes

I'd be willing to bet that if you were to knock a stack of durable good items on the floor off an end cap in front of an employee with that large item, they would offer to get you a cart. tongue sticking out smiley
Just pick up a bed pillow - light and easy! (A Big Lug store has the same requirement and there it is a family size pkg of paper towels or a laundry basket.)
