I know which MSC this is (unless there are multiple MSCs with the exact same scenario with the exact same high fee) and I have done over 1100 shops for them. Once in awhile something goes awry like a teller who refuses to tell me their name and I don't get paid even though I argued that they client would want to know if the teller is violating their policy. So, I lost $12 and was unhappy. I would be even less happy if I didn't get paid $200 like the OP, but in general I am very pleased with this MSC despite rare (in my case) glitches. I am sure that at least one MSC pays $3 to clean up their lists, although it defies me to understand why the client gives them a list of stores which include ones which have either closed or never opened. I have never done them. On the other hand, with the MSC in this thread, I have been paid the full fee when I went and found the branch closed due to a power outage (I took a photo of the sign on the door) and another time when the branch had been robbed (I took a photo of all the police cars). I still don't understand what really happened in the case that the OP described, and I personally feel that she should have received a fee for ferreting out the information, but I personally do not think that the MSC is cleaning up their list. Something went wrong. Stuff happens.
