Free Pizza!

My DH does our taxes (and he works in the industry, and is extremely fearful of being audited). Last year was the first time I had mystery shopping income, so he did some internet research and decided that, since the things I bought/consumed while on a shop benefited our bottom line he wouldn't take those as a business expense. I've sent him links to pertinent discussions here, but so far NOTHING will change his mind! Any suggestions?

To me the most important question is this, could you have completed the assignment without making the purchase? If a purchase is necessary to perform the evaluation I don't see what difference it makes to your bottom line. I've made purchases which were of absolutely no use to me but a requirement none the less.

Mine, too. My husband took one with a $15 bonus, but found the shop and form so irritating, he refuses to do another. He said it just wasn't worth the hassle.
