Five Guys Closed Location question

I have a shop scheduled next week for a new location opening near me. I happened to walk by it today and it seems likely that it won't be open by then. I read the guidelines and it mentions calling or stopping by to verify if a location is open, but I didn't see what documentation is needed? Should I take a picture of the "Opening Soon" sign? Is there a place to attach that?

Thanks,

Take a picture of the front door and the opening soon sign. You would be surprised how fast they can open. smiling smiley
They may ask you to reschedule, keep that in mind.

Wait until the day of your shop and call. Find out if they are open. If no answer, go to the restaurant and take a picture of the front with the notice of opening. Send the picture indicating it's close by email. I think you will be paid $3. Or, they may ask you to reschedule, as isaiah58 noted.

However, it may be open by your shop day so, have fun! Remember to visit the washroom.winking smiley And stay at least 15 minutes after you receive your order.
Maybe it was a fluke, but I was paid full price for a closed shop for this company. I took pictures and sent them in. I was surprised when I found my monthly payment was higher than I thought it would be.

This is the message on the shop: "If the shop requires only a phone call to determine the location is closed, the Shop Fee will be changed to $3. If the shop requires a site visit to determine the location is closed, the Shop Fee will be changed to ½ the original amount (or $3, whichever is greater). If the shop is for reimbursement only and the site is closed, the Shop Fee will be changed to $3."

I understand. This is why I was surprised that I received full pay for this shop.

Full pay would be $14 plus $6 or $9 or whatever. Just asking because for sure it was an error and you were lucky. Good for you.
Full pay would be whatever the fee was in this case. The reimbursement would have been a wash.

Yes, agreed. Full pay would be the full payment. It would not include reimbursement for items not purchased.

I have recently been surprised to receive full pay for closed gas stations, although the guidelines specify that only $3 will be paid. I think it's fair, because the guidelines for the gas shops require pictures of the overall station and the main sign. The guidelines specify that, if you find the location closed, you are still expected to take photographs. I have found about 5 stations either closed or converted to another gas brand. After taking pictures and stomping around, believing I would get only $3, I was surprised with full pay for all 5. Of course, since I did not make the 2-gallon gas purchase and the $1 store purchase, I received no reimbursement.

Ok, the word 'full' distracted me to think of the whole amount. I stand corrected. I thought the MSC was extra generous to have given the full amount.winking smiley

So much for that. I am shopping to that branch where I was accused of being the mystery shopper because they made an error in the order. Let's see what I can come up with.
In my situation, it was a religious chicken shop. I was paid the full shop fee. There was not a reimbursement to reimburse of course.
