You DON'T have to be a member! The certification is offered to all shoppers.

The IMSC (Independent Mystery Shoppers Coalition) invites you to become IMSC certified for mystery shopping at no cost via conference calls throughout the month of March. The call will last approximately one hour.

You should have the link to the test pulled up on your computer as the password to take the test will be provided at the beginning of the conference call. Here is the link: [www.imscinfo.com]

The President of the IMSC will go over the Basic certification test one question at a time while you take the test. She will not provide the answers, but she will help you to understand why some answers are wrong, helping you to have a clear view of what is correct and what is expected of you in our industry.

I am always late to read about these calls. It's been hectic around my house with sick people and doctors visits. Mabe I'll take another stab at the revised test anyhow.

I attended the conference, took the test and passed. I thought it was great. Although I've MS'ed for ages, I found the information very informative. Now I know why some reports have you rewrite the same narrative again and again. I understand why the, "I have to consult with my significant other..." can fail a shop and how the simple acts like the verbiage we use can easily out you as a Mystery Shopper. IMCA is suppose to repeat this conference in April. I recommend you call in and listen. Not sure how my receiving a certificate will help my MS career, but know It was well worth my 1.5 hours on the phone. You Go IMCA President for taking the time to conduct this conference, Thanks for caring. AND, I'm not even a member. Decided I will be though. The President, Pam, gave her contact info and said her door is always open. Really? Who does that?

I wanted to complete this but I wasn't able to do it because of my schedule. I will look for it this month. I was hoping they would do it again. Thanks for the information. I have been shopping for about 4 months and this would be valuable information to have .
