Jessica, I've never done one of these gas station shops, but I've read a lot of anecdotes from others here regarding their gas station shops. Seems like a lot of these managers / owners can come across like the convenience store manager in the David Lee Roth "Yankee Rose" video (I know you have no clue what I'm talking about, but I think it's a good parallel so I'm using it). IOW, controlling, manipulative, rude @#$%&. Don't let it phase you. Just remember you're supposed to be there and complete your task.

I work as a Field Rep for an automotive manufacturer and can tell you it is very, very expensive to have someone like me in the field. My primary job is to help stores boost sales - that`s how they pay for me. Brand standards and facility inspections are a small portion of my job.
