New "Customer Service" Grocery Store shops

For a successful shop/full interaction with a [target] (after a minimum of 3 attempts, if needed), the shopper pay is $25 plus reimbursement up to $2 for each small visit you made for your mystery shopping attempts
If you made 3 attempts to shop the [target] and were not able to shop them, the shopper pay is a $20 [chain] gift card to cover your efforts and your nominal purchases.

Are they serious? The locations that I know of don't have these targets. Previously the standard pay was $14 regardless if the target was found or not. It was barely worth it before. To return to the store 3 times? No, thank you.

3 attempts? Ridiculous. I was just reading a grocery store assignment that made me laugh out loud. It stated you must interact and ask for assistance in all departments for it to be a valid shop. There are 8-9 departments depending upon the store. You must also check-out the cleanliness of the restroom. Might as well bring my blow horn and announce the MYSTERY SHOPPER HAS ARRIVED.....$5 bonus isn't going to lure me to that shop! I don't know who writes these instructions, but they must be smoking some good stuff.
Is this the same grocery store that reimburses $5 for a mandatory 5 item purchase; one item has to be organic?

My favorite shop is the interactions in six departments, restroom and cashier, payment $10 and $2 for reimbursement. Who does these shops? Now there are new bonuses of $2-$5.
@HonnyBrown nope not the same one. I'm in Canada so that might make a difference. The target is for a credit card application. I've only seen the target in the larger big brother store (Walmart of grocery, before Walmart did grocery?). That purchase would make me laugh. I would purchase a single organic banana, and single other fruits or Kool-Aid, assuming it is worth doing in the first place.

This one normally doesn't reimburse anything but at least I don't need to go to the store on 3 different days. 3 attempts where I'm 90% positive not to find the interceptor? I would only do it this way with a $50 "cash" payment, and the original gift card still included.
LOL! I like that: an organic banana and Kool Aid!

I buy two packs of chili powder to stay under my $1 reimbursement.

I did one (underline ONE) of these for the experience. Yup, interact with nine departments, get the name of the manager (who isn't wearing a readable name badge,) check the rest rooms and do it all in 30 minutes. I did get the name of a good apple that was just coming into season and tips on how to water orchids. I was in the store for nearly 90 minutes. I did get that big $5 though. Did I mention the apples were $5.88 a pound?

I do a grocery shop that requires 8 department interactions and pays $12 shop fee and $15 groceries. After you do it once, it becomes lots easier.
