UPLOAD PIC QUESTION: From emailed pics???

Could not send a second shop pic via Bluetooth to my laptop after many tries. One went through, number two would not.
So can a pic be uploaded to a shop report if sent from smartphone to laptop as an email???

Many Thanks

You will need to download the attached file to your hard drive. I do it all the time.

Don't know if this will help, but here is what I do. I email myself the photos I need for the shop I have done. When I get home, I download them from my email to my hard drive using a photo program. Then I put the photos into whatever directory/file I am using for that particular MSC Co. That way, when I do the report, I just upload the photo-file into the report from the appropriate directory on my laptop. I wait until I know my photos have all been properly uploaded into the MSC report and then I delete them from my PHONE, but NOT from my hard drive. This may be extra steps, but it's what works for me.

I used to email my photos and upload them to my hard drive but found a better way. I now use Googe Photos to transfer my photos and scanned receipts. I run the google photos backup on my phone and then open google photos on my PC and sync. All my pics and receipts can now be easily placed in a folder on my hard drive.
Yes. It doesn't matter how the horse gets to the barn.

I too send photos from my phone via email so that I can save and upload to reports. I like the sound of Google Photo and the ability to access the photo with my laptop. Any tips on how easy it is to set up?
If you have a Gmail account, you can sync if up with all your devices,

My phone I upload the pictures via Google Photos and its there when I download it from my desktop or my laptop....much faster than having to email it (and email sometimes it would come right away other times it took awhile).

petrohd, I love Google apps. I use the cloud for my uploads. I use Keep to take notes for my shops. I use Maps to get to the shops. Everything is synched with all my devices.

I do this too! smiling smiley
Upload the photos from your phone onto a flash drive and you can take them anywhere. Easier still, get a Dropbox (or similar Cloud) account and let your phone automatically upload them to the Cloud where you can access them from anywhere.
Just carry a sync cable then transfer your pictures and receipts over. That is the cheapest and easiest way that I have found. no messing around with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. software data cables or any of that other stuff.
The folks on this Forum really have so many helpful ideas!! What may work for me, may not for another, and vice versa. But even better, some of the ideas, just in this post alone, are really helpful, and could work for me as well. So if I ever have a problem sending my photos thru my email, some of these other ideas are great!
Many, many thanks to all for posting, Bluetooth now works, but I always like having Plan B...

I sometimes log in on my phone and upload the photos from there, then save the report. When I get home, I finish the report on my desktop. I sometimes email photos to myself if for some reason I am unable to log into the website on my phone. It's much easier and faster to do it directly on my phone, though.
