If my dog's Doc's put out a tip jar, it would be the last straw for me.
I had to take my dog in because some idiot was shooting a gun and the dog got hit. I will admit, I haven't taken my less than 12lb dog to see the vet the last couple of years. The actual bill runs around $500 after you HAVE to buy the heart worm chews from them.
The vet started giving me grief. I lit into her. She tried to tell me that by not allowing me to buy his heart worm preventative medication without an annual physical was a good thing. I flatly and in no uncertain terms told her, that because of this policy; the dog hasn't eaten a heart worm chew in over a year. And the only reason is so they can charge me more money for the office visit which is now running over $30 a pop.
Theoretically, the policy is to ensure the dog is healthy. I can live with that idea. The truth is; every last one of the Dr.'s in this clinic drive Mercedes and wear real Rolex's.
It is not my job to pay for a Benz and a Rolex. If it wasn't so stinking hot in TX, I would sign up for a vet visit. Unfortunately, the shops are a solid 2 hours one way. It's too hot to leave the dog in the car.
Tip the vet, not in this life time and I forgot. My dog bites people he doesn't like and if they try to pick him up.
Before anyone asks, the new vets have taken over all the reasonably priced clinics.
Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning; the devil shudders...And yells OH #%*+! SHE'S AWAKE!
