MS + Revealed Gas Audit - Worth Fee?

Is the Two Number gas station mystery shop followed by Revealed audit worth the $8+5?

I've recently did a few of the locations when they were MS only shops and not sure if it's worth exposing myself on the Revealed audit as it may cause me to be more recognizable next time. Also not sure if the fee makes it profitable.

Normally if you do the mystery shop you can't do the reveal for the same station. I do both (mystery at some stations and audit at others). I think both are worth it. You get more for the MS/audit, and at both you get free gas. I love doing them.

They are a lot more work that the MS only shops, especially if the station has multiple infractions. In most places, they will stay on the board until the fee goes up because many shoppers will not do them. If they are really close and you have a lot of competition, they still aren't worth it for $8+$5, IMO.

The ones that I do pay 10.50 - 12.00. Plus gas and product reimbursement.

Thanks for the info, I felt it was gonna be low but needed a few to confirm. since I'm in a smaller community 100k+/- have been Leary of doing too many revealed audits as its still easy to recognize people. I did quite a few of the MS only shops and wished they would have kept them that way but they must change types from month to month or every so often. Any pattern of shop types from month to month for the two number/Red stretched oval shops?

If it's a new company, I'll occasionally bargain out a shop or two for a low ball fee. But just one or two so I can get my foot in the door. Then I'll get a feel for it and see what's up. There are some gas station shops I've watched go from $5 to $9 to $12 just in the last few days. I live in a county that has a pop of less than 10k, however, it has two major highways/interstates running through it. That means there's plenty of business, but also means shoppers are traveling through and could snag up my area

I won't do the same stations as I MS though.

Shopping & Auditing Western Colorado, North Denver, the Central Rockies ~~~ and all stops leading to Aspen & Vail.
