Revealed Audit, wrong location

I did a revealed audit at the wrong location today. (Thanks GPS for saying, "Now arriving at 404 B Road, on the left... and how that heck does after leaving 949 B Road with the intention of going to 404 B Road, do you get to 348 B Road, FIRST?!? (When you've crossed a town line in the meantime, thats how)). Yes, this brand has two locations this close..... when its a brand with two brands in its name, and one is one brand and the other is the other brand.

In desperation, I did check to see if 348 B Road was still on the job board.... but it was not.

While I realize I don't get reimbursed for anything at 348, and I did properly go to 404 afterwards, should I notify the MSC that did an audit at 348 by mistake, just to notify? In case the station inquires about results to them? Or should I just let it be?

Since 348 B is not on the job board, I probably wouldn't confuse the issue further. The station may be surprised, but with reshops it is not going to be that unusual.

Sorry for your loss in the wrong location but glad you caught it and got the correct location done.
Bummer. I have actually done, that, too, only with a mystery shop rather than an audit. I didn't tell the company. I just did the shop at the right location.
My advice is to say nothing about going to the wrong location. I am sure that you are not the first one to have done that. I did it with a corporate vs franchise phone store in the same shopping center. I said nothing. I was the only one who suffered. Double work. Well, maybe the "wrong" location also sweated until nothing bad appeared from Corporate.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I did that also, but for a different shop. Luckily, I realized it when I picked up dude's card and looked at it. It was before he swiped my card.

The dude's card? Is that what you call an employee/staff member in your reports?
I hates when that happens.smiling smileysmiling smiley

I performed a Target shop in the wrong mall. Luckily, I did not have any expenses more than a $1, for just store validation. I offered to redo it because it was my mistake. Plus I was able to find a item in the store that had been marked wwwwwwwaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy down for clearance. Real bargain.

or when two GSs are on the same road, but different town jurisdictions have a different name for the road. Route 4, as it travels from north to south has a different name for the 20 mile road. I had preform a audit at both location before, so the wrong location this time was a mistake. The CC charge and the in store purchase was "eaten". I drove up the road to complete the correct GS and used a second CC.

Now, I call the location, to see where they say they are located with landmarks.grinning smileygrinning smiley
It must happen more than we know. There is a gas station shop that I do that actually calls out this particular circumstance. Their instructions say there can be two stations not far from each other on the same road so they encourage you to be sure you are at the right location.
You were meant to be in the wrong location!!!!

GPS also sent me to the wrong address. For an audit I always check the address with the employee to make sure it is right. Luckily I did that and was told I was at wrong station. I did manage to find the correct one and do the audit.
