Sinclair and finding available shops

I've not done too much for Sinclair but decided to scoop up a bank shop in an area I was going to be in. I looked on my job board and it was the only shop available in my area. After I signed up, it told me there were other shops nearby I could shop. I clicked to see the other shops and 6 more banks appeared. There was only one I was interested in, so I picked that up too. Imagine my surprise when after I applied for that shop, another screen told me MORE shops in my area were available and 3 more banks were on the list. When I went back to my main screen, it tells me there are no shops in my area or someone may have picked them up. I doubt someone picked up the other 8 shops within twelve seconds but eh? Is there a method to getting all of these shops to appear at once?

I'm not sure how it works, but I have a feeling I am not seeing everything in my area either.

I'll get an email about bank shop. I'll check their site immediately and see nothing.
That's odd! Contact the scheduler for that shop. There may be more than one. Ask them which shops are available, and if they can be assigned to you.

I do a lot of bank shops for SCM. I ran into that problem once, and the scheduler addressed the problem for me. I didn't ask what happened.

I put in half a dozen zip codes and I see as many as 50 different shops for banks and I'm sure they aren't taken. Today, I logged in and two more popped up that weren't there yesterday! Except, I figure they had to be. One of them is literally 0.2 miles from my house. I could throw a snowball at it. It's basically the only thing in my little town. The reason you may not see shops online could be due to rotation rules. The emails you get that tell you there are available shops are just mass emails based on which zip codes you have listed. Those mass emails don't account for actual eligibility for each shopper. When you login, the job board only shows you what you're actually eligible for, so depending upon the rules for a certain client, you may not see a shop there despite getting an email about shops being available.

As for more shops popping up after you pick one up, that is interesting and I'm not sure why that happened. I'd be happy to take a look in your profile if you email me directly at lfrisbie@scmcontact.com

I hope that helps!

Hey @SchedulerLauren, has Sinclair thought about a search function for their website? Im a route shopper and work all over the country. I couldn't possibly add every zip code to my profile. Sinclair is one of the few companies i would do written shops for (I mostly do video) on long routes, but the website makes finding shops outside of your normal area so hard that i find it's just not worth the trouble usually.

You are only allowed to do a certain bank during a certain timeframe. I just applied for a bank shop that I did last year and after 90 days I closed the account to avoid crazy fees. The same shop appeared last week when I tried to apply to redo this shop I received You are not eligible to conduct shops on the Customer project at this time.
I figure... when you apply for one job, you eliminate a certain amount of available shops. that will not reappear when you go back in to try to capture them again.
remember this is my opinion but seems to be the case in several different areas, just like rotations.

I'm so sorry for the late reply bgriffin! For some reason, I didn't get a notice of your reply. We don't currently have a search function, but I will mention it to the higher ups. You are always more than welcome to email me and I can search our system on my end to see what comes up for you.
