Texas Roadhouse

Did you ever find out who does Texas Road House? Tried msjobboard, jobslinger and mystshop with no luck. I know you can not name the MSC, but can you direct me to another site like jobslinger etc that might get me nearer to closing applying for TRH jobs. I am rural so there are not a lot of SS available, but TRH is in our area. Thanks

We have agreed not to disclose MSC clients. We are not at liberty to tell you which MSC handles Texas Road House. However, you can search in various places for information. You can search this forum for companies that handle restaurants or search volition and jobslinger according to zip codes and other information. It might be worthwhile to sign up with as many MSCs as possible. Good luck! smiling smiley

et tu, Shop-et-al? What is it with the ICA violations? Does nobody realize quoting an ICA violation just perpetuates the ICA violation? Is this a game to make work for the moderator?

Thank you. When I quoted that, the MSC and client name were mentioned. Apparently, that was changed, and the change shows everywhere the original post appears. It must have happened while I was posting a response to another poster.

The moderator edited each post separately so all the ICA violations are no longer visible.

Does anyone know if they are still doing the dining room (non-bar) shops? I haven't seen any on the boards for a number of months now. They are also easy, pleasant, and delicious. My husband and i can scrimp by on the reimbursement for the regular dinner shops, but not for the dinner at the bar. But the meals are so good that we don't mind supplementing on our own and consider it a huge savings. Unfortunately, the dinner at the bar shop at our local has been getting snapped up immediately; that never used to happen.

You can only do the dinning room shops every 90 days in my state. . They may block you out and only offer it to you if you are eligible (You have not done one in 90 days).

They have the shops all over the country so the shop guidelines may differ . in your state.,if the locations are owned by a different franchise. The posts that I am reading , the shoppers that are posting are writing they have different guidelines than in my state.

We can only do them every 90 days. You and your spouse are ONE PERSON. If one does the shop the other can not do the shop at the same location for 90 days.

Consider the $35 or whatever fee is offered as a "discount" and not reimbursement of the entire bill, Enjoy the appetizer and dessert and ONLY ONE alcoholic drink. (If you are smart you will order only one drink with alcohol and the other will be the designated driver)

.I know some towns and the state police have a "Party patrol" detail that sits in parking lots waiting for customers to stagger out and get behind the wheel. They are proactive in preventing buzzed and drunk driving accidents.

You'll see them on Jobslinger, though it won't have the restaurant name right in the heading. You have to open things that say "Fun, Casual Dining" or something to that effect.
Sorry! Didn't think the Guidelines would matter, since they were different all over the country. I did not mention the MSC. I was just helping out the shoppers who didn't think they could eat for $35. My bad!

They may or may not differ by region or ownership. None the less, we avoid specifics because of our MSC agreements as well as helping associates identify us.

VERY easy shop. I do the at bar shops for nights when my wife is doing nails / hair or gym.
Reimbursement doesn't count as income and I can still write off the mileage. Good food, and I am always under the reimbursement amount.
Mod note: Even though you haven't listed the MSC, listing the complete shop instructions is deemed inappropriate and probably a violation of your ICA. For those reasons the post has been removed.
Went two wks ago. My steak was cooked wrong THREE TIMES. . my spouse's twice. Ended up being comped. The onion app was BURNT all over.. 2 1/2 hrs later, we left. So surprised but the manager said they had ONE COOK that night and it wasn't HIS JOB to cook! ?
That will get your spotted as a shopper.

Why would she be spotted as a shopper? What customer wouldn't want their food cooked correctly.

Please delete your post, it is against your shoppers agreement and puts us all at risk to be identified as shoppers.

If you squeeze out some bigger bucks, LongHorn Steakhouse rocks! $$$$, but well worth it!
It sort of looks intimidating, but it's casual or dressy.
I know, however, I'm not going to eat raw, nor overcooked, nor BURNED food.

I only go to that one once a year anyway.
I am 78 and do the bar shops all the time. If I can't self assign I request through the scheduler and she usually assigns them to me. I love the bar shops!
All shops either say or presume you to not draw attention to yourself as a shopper.
Sending back one time is one thing three times is OBVIOUS!

Sending back bad food is normal, very few restaurant shops require us to accept improperly cooked food. Maybe for fast food shops were unless the meat is raw you can not complain. Otherwise, I donot see the connection being assumed here?

I did a full service sacual shop where they under cooked the salmon, twice. The second time we just plain asked for something different. A manager never came over. The instructions did clearly state to be normal, if there are any food issues to bring them up and make sure it is properly addressed. Even Five Guys requires this, if the order is in any way not correct ask for it to be corrected, like all normal customers would do.

Actually, "I" did not send them back. Each time the steak was brought to me, the SERVER SAT DOWN NEXT TO ME asked me to cut it and see... THEY THEN KNEW it was wrong and took it back. FYI: over a dozen other customers that night had the same issues.. per the Mgr.
i forget where you are, but the Springs has some nice ones, but I'm partial to the ones up North though. Super easy, esp after doing them for so many years.. I practically don't NEED to have a cheat sheet.
i think that spread has NO butter nor margarine.. it tastes, TO ME, like Crisco with cinnamon and sugar. I copykat it by using butter whipped with cinnamon and Stevia. smiling smiley The rolls are really fluffy and light.
Doesn't that burn your butt. You were not paying for the abuse you got anyway. The manager comped it so the MSC will not pay you a dime in reimbursement. Therefore you got two horrible experiences, Bad food and service and you will not be reimbursed so you can go to a diner and get something to eat.

The MSC should pay you the $35 anyway so you can go to a diner and get something to eat. or better yet, the manager should give a gift certificate so you can come back and try them again so you do not tell anyone who would listen that you got a horrible experience. It is better that you tell people it was bad but they apologized and gave me a gift certificate to try them again. Hopefully the location would have improved when you go back and you can tell everyone you enjoyed the experience.

I made the mistake of going to a restaurant during the first few months . You NEVER want to do that. First everyone wants to try the restaurant out so there is a long wait to get in, then the employees are not synchronized The kitchen and the servers are performing like it is armature night. There are usually several cooks but if they are all new they burn a few or they send you a half raw steak.until they get the experience.

Y'all talked into grabbing one of these shops. I have avoided the restaurants because most require you bring a guest. I'm single. I'm going belly up to the bar Saturday night. Who knows, maybe I'll meet some handsome old man while on a shop! My time frame is 5-9PM. Any idea what time the bar is more approachable (seating available)? I will feel like a dweeb standing there insisting that I wait for a bar stool, if they try to seat me.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
She's not out out of pocket for the meal, so the MSC shouldn't reimburse her.. She's out a $3 fee, if there was one. This is better, because she doesn't have to write a report.

Even if the food was comped, you still have to either write the report or be considered a flake.

Also, if the steak was bad by an objective standard, I would have no problem sending it back two or three times, as long as the guidelines allow. That steak is my pay, and settling for bad food is like doing the shop for free. If it outs me as the shopper, that's okay - I probably wouldn't want to return there anytime soon.
All right, which of you "eager to try the bar shops" shoppers snagged BOTH of the Texas Roadhouse shops near me out from under my nose this morning? Somehow, I knew this would happen when this topic became so popular! <sigh>
Liz, I hate it when that happens!
