Trendsource-is there a secret to getting jobs?

I've been a shopper for 19 years, taking on a lot more shops here recently...and I've yet to get any assigned from Trendsource? Is there a secret?

I perform them on a regular basis. I get a lot of calls too asking for my help. Specifically, what is occurring?

If you are applying and not being assigned, perhaps there's other shoppers in your area getting them first.

Keep trying. Once you do a few (maybe 5) you can self assign.

I average 12 jobs a month from the Source with self-assign, text's and calls. i think they get used to the same people and have plenty to choose from. I will say they are loyal to their "old timers": Keep trying or pick up a
shop that hasn't been done, I get calls monthly for a last minute shop they need done and they appreciate it.

Yes, definitely call them. They are a great company, and once you've done some shops for them and have a record of reliability, THEY'll be the ones calling YOU!

I'm on self-assign status but still only see one a month that I'd want that are still available. Do you have the app? I think that the shoppers near me either stalk the app or pay closer attention to when shops are launched/ released and get to them first. They have a food truck one I've gotten once so far. I'd like to do it again but I'm always backup!!!

I do not have their app, b/c if I get one more app, I'm going to go crazy. Everyone wants you to have their apps, and I hate how it 1) takes up memory, and 2) clutters my screen...it's like having a list of favorites on your IE browser that's 100 links long - which one is your favorite??!! brahahaha

christinereed - yes I figured there were other shoppers, but there are a number of shops listed, so I would assume they would want to spread the jobs around so the company doesn't suspect who the mystery shopper is.

My favorites list is about 80 right now. I know what you mean about memory on your phone. I have more pictures of food and receipts than my own children. And I wait a month to delete anything just in case. So another app means another bit of memory is gone. I know now to up my storage next time but have skipped over several apps just because I don't have the memory available to download a single one and still have the chance to take more photos! It's aggravating!

Definitely call or email them. Also apply for backup status on shops. You might get lucky and get a cancellation. Then you have a chance to impress them.

Sorry if I sounded too simplistic. Also, I had the idea you were talking about revealed inspections (that's what I mostly do for Trendsource) not shops.

I agree about the apps. I have Trendsource's, but a company I have been doing a lot of work for is now pushing for people to use their app, and I signed up with a new company that uses only an app for finding and reporting assignments. So, I deleted somethings off my phone amd put those two on -- only to find out that the new company has nothing in my area!

When you mentioned photos, I remembered that Google keeps making "albums" for me with my latests pics, which are usually receipts, store shelves and gas pumps, lol.

Me too! And then my phone shows my latest photos when I load up facebook and asks if I want to post them!
